Background:

I own 2 Vacuum suction wigs.. I do not really wear them.. uncomfortable. I purchased a Gripper from Peggy Knight and I really like it. It's almost perfect! Downside for me is that the ear tabs are not as tight against my head as I would like. Also, any type of sweating will cause it to shift, so readjustment is a must.

I am looking for a full lace wig that requires tape.. I am thinking this type will be most comfortable for secure purposes and a natural hairline.

SOOO, where can I find a full lace wig, human hair preferably european wig????

I could use all or any suggestions!!

Question: If a full lace wig has second skin, can wig tape be used??

Thanks,

Lots of love

Megan

Hi Megan

I'm sorry your choice of wigs didn't work out for you.

If you pop in and see Lori van Decker (here) she has found a good lace alternative for herself that is working well. (very reasonably priced).

Megan, Just checking to see if on your Gripper, you curved the tab/bone at the temple in a slight C curve this will give you more security at the temple. Feel free to contact me.
I would be glad to help any way I can. Good Luck,

Hi Megan,
Sorry that the vacuum wigs aren't comfortable for you - mine have been very comfortable for 25+ yrs. Suggest that you check out IWigs (iwig.com). Erica (owner) offers beautiful, hand-tied wigs at different prices for type of hair you want. They'll even size them for you. I wear one when I play golf since I don't want my vacuum wigs to fade in sun.
good luck.

I had a problem like that when my hair started growing in thick my wig would shift! Try wig grip band from milano! It will help with your wig right now! It really works only $15

I would suggest Follea. They only carry European Human Hair pieces.

I thought Megan was quite clear on what she was looking for.

Alyce, she has a Follea 'gripper' and that slips and shifts on her head, doesn't give her the secure feeling she is looking for etc., or are you talking about follea's other net based and lace cap fashion products?

If that's the case I think Iwig has a 100% virgin hair range of products as well as the 'lightly processed' hair' that Follea use. With all handtied pieces there are some major issues that I hope people are being made aware of.

Good luck with everything Megan, I hope you find something that ticks all the boxes around your needs. :)

Rose Marie,

Yes, Follea sells other items besides the gripper.

Megan has a gripper cool and I know the gripper sport is much more secure.

I think I am allowed to give my opinion since I actually wear a piece and have alopecia myself.

Of course you are able to give your opinion. I've said before that your opinion is as valid as mine. :) I was actually confused a little and was asking for clarification. I don't fully understand Follea's products. Please don't feel put upon, that is not my intent. :)

What I find works best for me (I have a 17inch child size head due to dwarfism) is to have all
my wigs custom sewing altered THEN to have DERMAFIX sewn inside the wig caps. This way I have perfect fit even when swimming/sleeping,I wear wigs 24/7 even to sleep in.
With dermafix I never use tape or glue or bonding adhesives !
Marsha

Marsha, can you describe derma fix a little for me? Is it silicone? How is it placed, into the wig itself or is it removable? Sorry Im new to all this myself. Thanks!
Christine
