Hi everyone. I'm new and I need a lot of advice. After having my baby I lost about 90% of my hair. I'm wearing a wig but not loving it. This isn't the first time that I've lost hair but it's the most extreme.  My hair is slowly growing back so I have little sprouts coming up all over and then some that I haven't lost - yet -so I'm trying to decide what I should get and where I should get it? I'm going on vacation with a few friends to Hawaii what do I wear to swim? It's a wedding party and I'm not prepared to go bald just yet. Is there a wig I can swim with? Oh I've also lost my eyebrows. I currently draw them on every morning and I purchased some temporary tattoo eyebrows but I haven't tried them out. Please anyone I need advise? Thank you

When I go swimming, I wear the simple, $1 bandanas from like Walmart on my head. I tie one on how you typically see them on and then fold another into a strip and tie it to the knot is on top for extra security. That's just what I do. I don't know about the wigs and swimming. I don't know about the eyebrows either. I typically go without. My eyebrows were so light before I lost them that to me it just looks really super weird to actually see them lol.
My daughter wears all lace wigs and swims in them. She tapes them on with super tape and wears a thin headband when she is wakeboarding. Message me and I will give you the chinese site that we buy them from. They take a month to get in. We had her eyebrows tattoo'd. They are lighter than normal and she has some growing back which makes the tattoo's look even more natural. Drawing them on was such a pain for her and took so long. Good luck.
Thank you Karen. I would love the info for the lace wigs. And I think I'll go with the tattoo brows also I'm just a little afraid of "permenat" but I know it will save me from the huge hassle everyday of drawing them. Thanks again
i would highly suggest matt yeandle hair prothesis! i have one a glueless lace front best wig ive had it stays secure with no tape or glue and has a silk top all the way to the back so looks so natural when the hair splits and it is breathable ! since i got one i feel like i have my life back i to just had a babymy hair growing and i have about 80% of my hair its just sparse and very short cuz i cut it off . i like this wig cuz it doesnt have crazy density on top which makes them look wiggy it stays very flat and fulsh to my head
I have not worn a wig to swim in but I did see a post last week about freedomwigs.com check it out. Good luck
I wear long cotton gauze scarves Israeli-style for wading in the pool.
Hi Karen, I would love the details on lace wig. I'll send my details to your inbox. Thanks.
Hi Chantel

You have received some good advise here about what works for people. I'd like to write to you about what I feel helps to figure out what is going to work the best for you. There are a few different options available with regards to what type of hairpiece may work for you or what eyebrows may be the best choice for your needs.

With hairpieces I think it is very important to work out your needs.

You want something that you can swim in - right? :)
I would think most people that wear hairpieces want them to be comfortable and easy care? Is this high on your priority list?
What sort of hair do you want to be used in your hairpiece - this decision can impact on the look, feel and durability of a hairpiece. Is it very important to you that your hair look absolutely realistic? Do you have a specific style you want to achieve? Do you want a hairpiece that can be put into ponytails and updo's? How much time do you want to spend maintaining a hairpiece? What costs are you willing to incurr around your hairpiece? Are you happy to use tapes and glues? Etc Etc, there truly is a lot to sift through as to what will work the best for you.

My daughter has been wearing a Freedom Vacuum Hairpiece for the last 8 years and it works extremely well for her. If I can help in anyway around information on this type of hairpiece just pop in and say hi to me on my page. (I have it set to private so I'll have to befriend you first).:)

Eyebrows

Libs (my daughter) wears the false hairy eyebrows. I have a picture on my page that you may like to have a wee looksee at. I believe they are available at Headcovers (USA company), but we get her's from a lady in Australia feelgoodlookgood. I have seen some fab tattooed eyebrows but again I think you need to really know what you want and who the person is tattooing your brows as I have also seen some not so great work out there.

Good luck with finding something that suits you and your needs.

Hugs
