Hi all, I have been a long-time user of Xeljanz, about 9 years now.  I have complete hair regrowth from being AU.  I was taking 10 mgs a day.  Unfortunately,  since Olumiant was now FDA approved for alopecia, the insurance will only cover the 2mg dose of Olumiant.  I would love to hear from anyone who has taken Olumiant, especially the 2mg dose, and what your experience has been as far as hair regrowth or maintenance.  My doctor requested the 4 mg dose, but was denied.  The insurance companies will only approve the 2mg dose.

I am waiting to hear from others about Olumiant as well. How are the side effects for you?
I’ve had alopecia totalis for about 26 years and my dermatologist states this will bring my hair back but I’m worried about the side effects.

Hi all, I am male and had AU for the past 8-9 years. I have been on Olumiant 4mg for about 10 months. During the first 6 months, I had notice good hair growth in the chest area, facial hair and eyebrows. This was to the point where I could actually grow mustache and beard.  I had some spots on my head as well showing signs of growth. I always had some gray hair but up until now, never had black hair and that was starting to come back in patches which was nice to see.

Over the past 3 months however, I seem to be loosing the black hair growth on my head and my eyebrows are going away again. Disappointing. Plan to go to the Dr for a checkup in about 2-3 weeks.

Hi starshine never had any luck on zeljanz 10,15 or 20mg.Just started Olumiant about 4 weeks ago 4mg my insurance covered it with no problems. Also started Minoxidil pill about two weeks ago.Hope it works for me.Most medications start working immediately for Alopecia it takes months to see any results. You we’re taking such a low dose of xeljanz maybe the 2mg will work for you.Never had side effects on zeljanz and so far none on the Olumiant.

hello football fan I am like you bad answer with xeljanz and I tried olumiant 4mg 3 months and it is worse the least effective

for 1 year I have been taking cibinqo 200 mg from pfizer jak 1 and it is the most effective but always poor response from the hair.

why don't you take litfulo from pfizer authorized by alopecia?

it's a jak 3 and tyk 2 it is targeted only for alopecia

I have seen several clinical trials with good results

Taking the Olumiant till I see my Doctor again in January.I have only been on it for 6 weeks.

Hi Football Fan.  My doc appealed to the insurance and they did cover Xeljanz again for me, so I never started on the Olumiant.  However, I am interested in the Litfulo.  I think it looks to be the best so far as side effects and weight gain. I don't know how easy it is to get overseas though, if insurance doesn't cover.  I think the Litfulo would be a good choice for you if Olumiant doesn't work out.  Good luck!!!

I am thinking of starting Oluminant, I have been AU for 3 years now. DO you think it will work? how long will it take for the recovery? Can I try to have a baby with my wife while on Oluminant? please advice . I am very scared.

Guys Please advice
