Hey guys,

I need cheaper but good quality wigs to hike, and horseback ride in. I have spent a ton on synthetic wigs they don't fit my head and turn to rats nest after one wear. Just can't do it anymore. I need custom fit to my mini mellon. I keep seeing sites about these custom made remy wigs. There are SO many I dont know where to begin.

Does anyone have any sites they have ordered from/ trust and are happy with the product? I would love pictures!

I would so super appreciate it!

I always order from Cooperwigs.com. The quality is constantly good and and their custom wig with a thin skin perimeter grips really well without using glue.

Lindsay, I sent  you a friend request. I have some photos of what I buy on my profile.

Hi Lindsay, I looked at your photos, and you look great in your hair additions.

I also ride and live an outdoors lifestyle and always prefer synthetic to human for these activities. I wonder if the issue is that you are over working the synthetic hair by combing too much etc. My synthetics last for years even with my lifestyle, but I am very careful not to over-brush and only wear hats with old wigs.

The synthetics can easily be revitalized, I can help you with this. They will hold the shape much better than human hair will, and are much lighter in weight than human is.

If your head is really small there are childrens wigs although there are not as many color options, BUT almost any wig can be altered to fit your head. Again, if you are interested, contact me and I can help you with this.

If you have any hair, you can also integrate it with your synthetic and make it look and move more like human.

I know that some people have had good luck with buying direct from China, but I feel that each order with these companies is a gamble...I get hundreds of emails and calls from the China manufacturers, and will not go that route as consistency is always an issue. In fact, NAAF will not support any vendor that offers custom because of this issue. I have personally spoken with the director about this because I do custom as well as stock and they have a strict policy...I personally agree with them and will not order direct because I feel my vendors have a better chance of getting consistent quality than I do.

The quality of hair has declined dramatically in the last 5 years because the extension market has consumed much of the "good" hair, and the chances of getting good quality at a decent price is really hard now. And if you want blond hair, you must be prepared to replace it often also.  Trusting anyone in this business is foolish, there are no restrictions on what a vendor can say or imply, and believe me they will say anything. Remy used to mean cuticles intact, but it no longer applies, and same with European hair.

I really wish that people would stop thinking that human is any better than synthetic. I always say, if human hair were easy to manage there would be no need for hair stylists...Human hair tangles even when maintained well, it damages easily and every human hair system has been treated with chemicals (except Freedom) because it all comes from China or India where everyone has black or dark brown hair. Conditioners are cosmetic only, they can NOT repair damage. Once the hair is damaged it must grow out of the head to repair it. This never happens with hair additions....
