I just received my first wig from a Chinese manufacturer. Total disappointment in the hair quality. It looks and feels like doll hair; dry, brittle, no resemblance to human hair at all. I ran my fingers through because I wanted to see if the kinkiness (I ordered a slight body wave) was due to packaging and quite a few hairs fell out. I would also be REALLY careful with choosing hair colors. I ordered a medium reddish brown mixed with medium golden brown. It looks more like a greenish gray. I will say that the silk top in the cap does absolutely look like a real hairline part. That at least gives me encouragement that I can hopefully find a wig somewhere with much better hair quality that will look realistic. Unfortunately, this one's not wearable; the hair looks like a Halloween wig. Live and learn but never give up ;)

Sorry it didn't work out for you. It took me a few tries to get it exactly right. I would stay away from the body waves. The extra processing damages the hair. I have found that the Remy Indian hair in silky straight texture has a slight wave to it when wet and has more than enough body when set on electric rollers. I have found the Chinese and Brazilian hair to be more coarse and dry, and less amenable to lighter colors (not to mention more expensive).

Remember that you do need to trim the ends. The units come unstyled and do need to be cut.

Try conditioning the hair with coconut oil and washing with a WEN type of product. Air dry. See if it helps. As far as color, you can carefully apply a temporary rinse (not permanent).

I was totally disappointed with the quality. Firstly, the blonde highlights in the wig ended up looking like skunk stripes so I had to dye them (that in itself was very difficult)

The wig I ordered arrived and looked beautiful when I took it out of the package, it had lovely big curls. BUT, as soon as I washed it for the first time the curls disappeared to be replaced by frizz. The hair split often and was so so knotty.

I ended up taking it to a wig store in Melbourne to see if they could fix it, and they said it was just terrible quality hair, and I would have been much better off buying European hair.

I would avoid buying anything with curls, Just go for straight hair and curl it if you prefer that look!
