Guys, I really haven't a clue what I'm doing but everday i'm losing more and more hair.
I still have some though but I have large bald spots. Is there any extentions I could get or would I be better off shaving the rest of it and getting a proper wig?
In relation to wigs, where/what should I buy if im looking for a good quality wig that will NOT fall or slip under any circumstances?
I'm sorry if these questions are all pretty standard and obvious but I'm new to this and I'm rather confused :/
Thanks in advance you guys.

Please message me and I will send you a link to the chinese site that I order wigs from. They cost between $400-$500 for virgin european hair that is 24". We order swiss lace with silk top, my daughter tapes them on with supertape. I will be traveling the next couple of days but would be happy to help. Use this price as a guideline when you are shopping. You will need a local stylist that is comfortable with wigs in case you need to dye or trim it.
hi karen please can u send me that link please i have spent money i havent got and bin well ripped off the hair was very heavily processed and cost me £500 pounds!!! thank you :)

Hi

I feel it is very important to work out your own personal needs when thinking of investigating hairpieces. There are a wide variety of types, costs and qualities.

Some of the things you need to think about are, security (how it is attached to you), quality, fit, realism, durability, economics. All thes things will have different priorities to you, some being of far more importance than others. All hairpieces are different and people choose to wear their hairpiece of choice for their own personal reasons. Don't jump into anything just yet, take your time and work out what is going to be bes for your personal needs.

Good luck with your investigations.

It's a tough decision to make. I tried extensions in the early days but wasn't convinced about them. It depends where you have the bald spots I guess and how easy they are to cover. It is a big decision to shave your head and get a wig. The no slip thing is a tricky one. I wear special tape for wigs which is like double sided sticky tape. It does the trick if I wear enough of it and can hang my head upside down in yoga etc. or go out on a windy day. Though I have had some horrific flyaway moments so it's tape all the way. I haven't bought wigs privately in a while as now get them on the NHS. Is there somewhere you can go to try some on locally to get a feel for whether it is harder to have the patches or to try a wig. It does feel strange having one on for the first time. Hope this helps a bit....I have bought Noriko wigs before and found then good and also I now get Judy Plum wigs but they look horrendous on the website but much better on. Good luck!!
Hi Pearl,
I'm Cecilia and I'm from Italy...
My AA was 4 years old and i don't know nothing about wings, too.

Hey Pearl.
Before ordering one online, I would try to find a cancer center near you that works with wigs. At least then you can get your hands on one and see what you are working with. I have gotten 10 wigs in the last year, all different caps, etc. My very favorites are LACE FRONT (ear to ear of you can find one). The hairline is undetectable. So nice as all others create a wierd line. Also, MONO TOP. This allows you to part your hair where you want and it looks like the hair is growing out of your own head. Seriously, somebodey has to really be up in your business to notice anything off. I spent a ton of money on a human hair wig and found I did not like it. It takes so much work. From wash to dry to style took abou 5 hours and that was a couple of times (at least) a week. Also, your natural hair gets oils and nutrients from your own body. A wig does not and starts to look really unhealthy quickly, I think. There are synthetic wigs that are HEAT TOLERANT so you can flat iron, curl, or whatever. When I started this process, I thought I would just have to buy one wig and that would be it. They really only last a few months depending on how well you care for them. With that being said, I would not jump in to buy an expensive one just yet. Here is a website that I love. The wigs are gorgeous, many are ear to ear lace, and can resist heat styling. They are also much less expensive. Also, once you get a wig, always take it to a stylist to cut to your face unless you love the style right out of the box. It has been a lot of trial and even more error, but I feel pretty comfortable giving you this advice. I desperately needed someone to guide me when I started this hellish process. www.jennyshairsense.com
I like Forever Young wigs, which are available through many wig sites on the internet. I trim the bangs to customize them myself and I sew a few toupee clips in front to help keep them in place.

Good luck with your decision.
