Hi Michelle,
I am currently in the same boat as you. I don't have any eyebrows, very few eyelashes and no arm or leg hair. I have about 70% of the hair on my scalp. This time last year I was completely bald, but things have slowly started to come back on my head. Alopecia works in strange ways and I don't think you'll ever be able to really understand why you will have more hair in certain areas and none in others. I just go with it now.

As for the itching, I get that too when I am losing hair or when hair is starting to grow back.

Michelle, this is what I'm experiencing right now too, I have had areata for years, and I have lost most of my eyebrows, which for some reason never quite grow back, well I have nearly all my hair on my head and I'm so thankful, but a few days ago I plucked out the one or two remaining eyebrow hairs, they are completely gone! I notice that my eyebrows are itchy too especially before they all fell out, also noticed that where the hair use to be looks a bit swollen and pinkish at times. Have you noticed that? I'm worried that it means I'll go AU, because I've lost so much body hair, on my legs arms and now eyebrows, I lost some lower lashes once but they grew back, don't want to lose them again. I wish we had answers.
