This last time I have lost my hair - it seems so final, I seem more bald (if that is possible) No hair, no eyebrows, no eyelashes, let alone hair anywhere else.

I am looking into the suction based wigs because I am sick of wigs seeming to rip me off of experiences that I should be able to share with my children.  Is there anyone out there that owns or has owned one that can share there experience with me??

Can you successfully tie them back??  How do they go when you swim??  How long do they REALLY last??  How do they look in wind?/  Can you see to the wig cap and does it look funny??

Really looking forward to feedback - cant wait to take the plunge.

Hi Martina,

The Freedom Wig truly did allow me to run, play volleyball, waterski, swim, and do any and all activities again with confidence.  To me, they are worth the investment.  After I wore my Freedom for about a year and a half, I asked to be a representative here in Canada.  They look amazing in an updo, high ponytail, or claw clip.  You can wear them whichever way you want.  They last on average between 2-5 years depending on how hard you wear the wig and a repair is needed in that time but will only be done if Freedom believes you will get longer wear out of the hairpiece.  There is a one year warranty on the piece.  You should read the testimonials on my website www.imageevolutionhair.ca as these are clients whose lives are truly changing.  They are super comfortable and secure and don't come off unannounced.  They look very realistic in the wind (and there is no more head ducking!) as insertion of the hair also falls under the cap so it is masked.  You will need to have an elongated or sweeping fringe area to make it even more realistic.  All the hairs are injected into the cap so any which way you part, it looks like scalp.  You also get to have it cut and styled as you want at a salon.

I've posted some pictures.  In the wind these look extremely natural…my hair in the ski pic was wet and being blown…

I hope this helps.  I'm obviously biased but have worn all types of other wigs before finding Freedom and it truly was a game changer for me.

Warm Wishes,

Jenn

looks great!the water skiing pic is inspiring!! thankyou!

Your welcome.  You can check out www.freedomwigs.com and the "contact us" page for your closest representative as there are reps worldwide and they will be able to answer your questions.

I'll second (and third, fourth...) everything that Jenn says above.  I picked up my very first Freedom hairpiece just before Christmas this year and it absolutely has changed my life.  I live in the "Windy City" - with my old wigs, I couldn't wear a hat (wig came off with the hat if I went indoors), and yet was constantly in fear that if I went outside at lunchtime, my hair would blow off.  All of those issues are gone.  It's so comfortable, I sometimes forget that I have it on (which never, EVER happened before) and though I have a shorter (8") length, I can use claw clips, barrettes, etc. without anyone being able to tell my hair isn't actually growing out of my head.

While expensive, for the time and effort that goes into making a Freedom hairpiece, I was honestly surprised it wasn't MORE expensive.  And the nice thing is - you get to pick the length, color, curl pattern, and density of your hair.  I have 8", dark brown, one curl level above stick-straight, and light density.  There's not a thing I'd change if I were to re-order.

(Being of menopausal age and experiencing hot flashes ... I was slightly worried about being extra warm with the full silicone cap, but it's not been a problem AT ALL.  In fact, there's been no difference whether I'm wearing my Freedom, my old wig, or no-hair-at-all.)

I've attached a couple of pics - before and after.  The after is actually sitting at the salon on the day I picked up the hairpiece and had it cut and styled - so absolutely new.  I can tell you it only gets better and more YOU once you wear it a couple of days.

Best of luck to you!

Ree

Hi there.

Have you looked into the Follea grippers.
They have the most realistic hairline for ponytails and updos
And they aren't as hot as a full silicone cap .
If your hair grows back you are still able to wear the grippers
during this time.

It's the most virginlike hair on the market today
Wich makes you look young and healthy .
I've had people say they look better in Follea hair than their own
Hair !
What is nice about the Follea is you don't need to wear a bang!
And gripper cool is an option if your worried about heat and sweat.
Gripper sport has 13 stripes of silicone for extra security but it's breathable
So you won't feel too hot.

I'm a hairdresser I've styled both vacuum for 20 years and Follea in the past 3
Years. I fell in love with the manufacturing quality of Follea and how it changed
My clients lives , I decided to represent Follea ..
It's a great option for you to consider.
Contact a Follea Icare rep for a consultation you won't be unhappy ..
Follea will have your color and length and size to you within 3-5 days not 4 months
And the repair time is 2-3 weeks
Good luck in your venture to find your perfect hair !
Hearts best Ann Marie

I have heard that they are very expensive and dont really have the hair density that a vac cap does?? who in Australia sells these?
They have the perfect amount of hair for a woman with small to medium facial features
Too much hair looks fake on an average size head shape.
But I have increased the density on a few of my clients hairpieces, because they were used to the vacuum that has too much hair in my opinion and they had to switch to the new gripper without someone detecting the difference .

Looking at your picture you are very pretty and have small features I'd hate to see you
Purchase something with too much hair in it and overpower your face .
Your hairdresser would then have to thin it out so some of the hair you paid for will be removed.
Follea hairpieces are weighed and measured to have the perfect amount of hair for a woman to wear up or down to go undetected the hairline is implanted to look like its growing right out of your scalp .

Keep in mind women thin especially in the front naturally over 35 years old. So if you want to increase density I suggest 10% in the back not the front or sides to make it realistic.
Go to Follea.com to see who would be able to sell you a hairpiece
I'd love to help you I'm in Massachusetts and unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to travel to Australia.
I hope I've helped with a new option for you.
Hearts best.
Ann Marie
I hope you find your perfect solution!

Hi Martina.

Don't worry too much about density. This is something you should discuss fully with Martine when you meet. Martine is terrific and been helping her clients for a long time. You can order the density that best suits your requirements.
