Hello,
Within a few weeks! Wow, that isn't very long. I wear synthetic wigs, and I love them. I have had one heat resistant wig, and I don't plan on trying another one anytime soon. I have heard a lot of complaints about them too. I think they need to work on the heat resistant fiber. If you are thinking of a synthetic wig, then look up Rene of Paris. They have great wigs. I also like Gabor and Revlon. You could find them at a wig shop or online. The shorter the wig, the longer that you can get it to last. If it is a long wig, it will get knotty and ratty but you can prevent that with gentle care. I like shorter, chin length wigs, and I can get 6 months wear out of them. However, I don't wear the same one 7 days a week. My point is that you can make it last, especially with a shorter one. Hope that helps

I wear human hair wigs by jacquelyn. they usually last me about a year or more... excellent product... doesn't rat up at all.. maybe i've just not found synthetics that i think are quality made. I've tried a couple different brands like paula young, but it seemed like i could see my head through the wefts which i didn't want.

I don't have an answer to your question, I currently have a gripper by Follea, it is human hair, and the hair is very nice, can you explain the thin skin? I'm thinking about ordering a lace wig as a back up, but don't know much about them, I would think that if you could get a high quality lace in a synthetic, I think it may be great. My first wig was a synthetic, but the cap was too large, it was a just to the shoulder length, the hair still looks pretty good except for the bangs which look frizzy. I would love to hear more about the full lace wigs?

Blondes are very difficult to buy from Chinese vendors, since their hair sources are all naturally dark. I've tried all of the "better" grades of hair, but I've had the best luck with the cheapest Indian Remy hair in silky straight texture, in a custom mix of browns. The wigs I've paid the least for have lasted the longest and been my favorites and look better on than the "Virgin European" units that I've paid more than ten times as much for.

Think of it this way: 1.) If you order Indian or Chinese "virgin" hair in a blonde color with a body wave or curl, the hair is no longer "virgin." Who knows if it ever really was, and at this point, it no longer matters. 2.) To get a custom-sized cap made to your specifications for around $200 is a good deal, but you cannot expect to get the same lifespan from a unit that you paid $200 for as the one you paid $2,000 for -- or 3K, 4K, 5K for. 3.) You need to oil the hair regularly or it will definitely get dry and ratty. I use Argan Oil or Brazilian Oil every time I wear a unit, and because I often like to style them with some heat - either electric curlers or flat iron -- I use a little extra oil after styling. Every time I was a unit, I first give it a good treatment with coconut oil (warm it up, comb it through the hairs, and put the wig in a plastic bag for an hour or two prior to washing). After that, I've been washing using a WEN-type product, but sometimes use Kerasilk shampoo and conditioner. Let the unit air dry -- do not blow dry. Once dry and styled, apply the Argan or Brazilian Oil (especially at the nape of the neck).
