I was okay with loosing all the hair on my head, regrowing it, loosing it again and so on. Then lately I was even okay with loosing hair on my arms, legs, other areas on the body. I am okay if this stupid illness takes all my body hair BUT, don't take my frickin eyebrows or lashes. That's just going too far now. My friend is going through chemo right now and she lost all her hair but she didn't loose her eyebrows. So that tells us that alopecia is much more powerful than chemotherapy. It's just ridiculous. Today I read online that researchers partially reversed aging in mice. How about the researchers find a fricking cure for this illness instead. Find a way so I can keep my darn eyebrow.

Sorry, I just had to vent my frustration. :-(

Thanks Corinne, that's good to know. I searched for it and found it online at Ulta. I might have to try this out. Thanks for the tip. ;-)
My daughter would give anything to have her brows and lashes back. The tattoos made such a difference for her. They look great, it took forever for her to draw them on before. It just was not worth the time. She is a pro at putting on the fake lashes. Her college friends all line up to have her help them. She says some of them ask how she got so good at this. She said I am thinking "are you kidding me". People don't know that she doesn't tell. It gets better with time. Losing it is the worse. Hugs to you.
Thanks Karen, I heard lots of good things about getting them tattooed. Glad you daughter looks great with them. Definitely something to think about for later down the road. I guess right now I am just hoping it won't all fall out, even so it probably will.
At least you ladies can have your eyebrows drawn or tattooed on! So far most of my right eyebrow and some of my left are gone.

This past weekend I used a tweezers to just pluck it all clean...I just wish they would either go away fully or come back fully, not this in between biz.

Stupid alopecia.

Hi Alex, guys can have them tattooed on too, no? I hate the in between business too. Right now only my left eyebrow is under attack and the other one looks okay. Not sure how long I can hold on to the one, hate to shave both of them though. Ugh.
I've seen pictures of guys with tattooed eyebrows...and yikes, hah...hopefully someone can prove me otherwise...I miss my bushy babies!

I don't recommend shaving the brows...you still get the dark spots, so it's like a 5 o'clock shadow ,heh.

Like I said the past weekend I just plucked them all clean, Honduras rum was my friend that night. :)
maybe its because usually girls have more of a 'perfect' looking...or manicured...eyebrow...unlike guys. i wonder if you got a talented tattoo artist if they could help you with having them not be so 'perfect?'

good luck....sorry....
Don't apologize .... you can vent whenever you want.  my daughter has looked into the false eyebrows and eyelashes as she is losing one side... strange... and i know someone who got tatoos. I don't understand why they can't find a cure either... crazy. I guess cause it is not life threatening. Stay strong...
Thanks Leslee.
I can SO relate!  I lost my eyebrows 16 years ago and didn't realize how lucky I was to have eyelashes until I lost them about 5 years ago.  Since then "dust in the wind" and other airborne debris is my mortal enemy!  I cannot STAND the false eyelashes so I'm stuck defenseless.  Amazingly, the lashes just started growing back a couple of months ago.  I agree about research being wasted on vain issues.   Have you thought about trying Latisse to save your lashes?  I'd say medical insurance should cover it since eyelashes are necessary to protect your eyes against injury.
Thanks Laura, just googled Latisse. Definitely something to keep in mind as well. Thanks so much.
One can tattoo eyebrows - permanent make-up.
It is not too natural, but the best one can do!
