Using stem cells to treat alopecia areata

Has anybody heard of using stem cells to treat alopecia areata? We banked my daughters cord blood and we are wondering if anyone has ever inquired about this sort of thing. I called the blood bank and they said that it may be a possibility. Just wondering what you all think about this.

Cord blood banking is a waste of money. Yes the play on your emotions when you just had a baby. Their are very few treatments with cord blood, the few treatments that do exists better alternatives also exist. Umbilical cord blood basically banks the stem cells. It's been proven that stems cells derived from Bone Marrow and Fat Cells yield for better result then cord blood. Both in quantity and quality.

Hang in their for about 3-5 years, treatments are in the pipeline that will be a game changer. Stem cells to Jak3 inhibitors.

If you can't wait try a place like Stem Cell Revolution Centers who have patient sponsored research (meaning you pay to be an experiment). I called said it was $7,500 and may require an additional followup treatment $1,500. Dr. Did say patients with Alopecia Areata respond very well. My Dermatologist (my voice of reason) said until their are published results it's just snake oil.
