I think that the white hair coming in is a good sign. It may change to darker after a while. Most people with just a few spots go into remission at some point.
I started off with 9 patches, then I started with really pale thin hairs growing back through, that have nearly all turned brown now!xx
I ended up going a bit loopy and checking my hair loss, so if I run my hands through my hair I lose strands, but that is normal, alopecia or not, so some of those hairs on your study notes could very well be hair that is naturally at the end of it's growth cycle. xx
Hey there
I too had 3 baldy patches over a year ago and since then they have completely regrown, but my alopecia still remains, i have patches all over my body including the beard and the worst is that my eyebrows completely vanished. I do see some white hairs growing at the eyebrow and some dark ones, not many like 4-5 at each side. Hopefully we will experience a complete remission and never have to be afraid of the Big A again.
@George- Amen! maybe one day we all will speak about the Big A in it's pass. :-)
I truely hope so! i have hopes now since the white hairs started poping out around the last few days after i had my 1st injection at the eyebrows nine days ago, i am scheduled for another injection tommorow and the doc said id see the results after the 3rd shot but my hopes run high since its been only a week and iam seeing hairs, doesnt matter to me if they are white its hair and after being eyebrowless for almost a year its inspiring!
