Hi, I was AA at age 6; at age 8 it turned into AU. My facial and body hair grew back around age 17. I've been status quo with AT; I'm 43 now, I've had some scalp hair but never a full regrowth.

Hi Everyone,
My AA started when I was about 8 years old, turning to AU at 10-11 years and have been that way since then. In my mid-forties now. Had a small growth patch when pregnant (my first born ) but it fell out soon after birth. Great to be able to chat and share experiences with others like me. Thanks

It all started when I was 10 years old. I was AU by the age of 20. Now at 33, it's great to hear from others who are just like me.

I had patches of hair loss from 3 years old. When I was 21 all my hair fell out. I am now 32 and have recently been finding it hard to cope with.

I've had alopecia since I was one year old and I'll be 31 this summer. I started AA and was AT by 13, AU by 16 and ever since. It's only been since 2001 that I ditched the wiggy and started gettin' jiggy with it! I love all the pictures on here and of the bald ladies in particular - it shows I'm not the only one and that we can be beautiful and live happy lives.

I have had AA for over 30 years but became AT for 3 1/2 years. I am currently understanding this new episode in my journey with alopecia.

I lost all my hair by the age of 5, before I started kindergarten. My Mom made me hats to wear at first. Then I got my first wig in first grade. I have worn wigs all my life and I am now 50. So, it's been a long journey of acceptance.

I started my alopecia journey at age 13. I am now 48. It has been a long road, but I am now at peace with it.
