I'm anxious to see the results of latisse as well. We don't have the drug approved in Canada yet, but I did find something else that I'm trying. It's a product by B. Kamins (a Canadian chemist) and sells for about $100 at sephora. It's supposed to be similar to latisse. I'm going to try it for 3 months and see how it works.

Here is a link to the product if you want to check it out

Go for it. What color are your eyes? There is a chance if you have blue or green eyes they can turn brown....forever

Well I have heard from both ways.
My eye doctor said he still see hair follicles.
And There was this person I knew and they lost all of their eyelashes and they started using it and theirs all came back.
So it worth a try he said try it for 2 months and see.
Will keep you posted.

My understanding of this is that is does not work with AU. It works for people who have >50% of their eyelashes. This was a study done at UCSF.
Sorry I cant give better news.

I would love to know if anyone with AU has tried Latisse and if it worked, and most important, if the eyelashes didn't fall out after they grew. Considering how AU is described as the immune system attacking the hair follicles, my guess would be that the eyelashes would grow, then the immune system would cause them to fall out. It would be very interesting if a drug like Latisse could overcome the immune system somehow and the eyelashes (hair) would not fall out. Ronda, please keep us posted as to how it works for you. If it works, it sure would be an interesting research study for NAAF!

Just wanted to ask if anyone has tried the Latisse for the eyelashes.
I went to eye dr yesterday and he gave me scrip for it.
I am excited about trying it.
I hope it works.
He told me to give it 2 months before I give up but he said he thinks it might work.
Will keep you posted on how it does with me:)

Hi all,

About the pain of losing hair...yeah, back when I did have AA I would know where a new spot was going to go bald because that area would start to get a little sensitive/sore. Then when the hair was gone, so was the soreness.
