the blinkies are easier because they have a narrow strip attached instead of just lashes on a string. they go on very easy, as long as you use the good glue, called duo. i love them and will be ordering more.

Pam below mentioned using the Blinkies. Does anyone know how they are different from regular false eyelashes? It's a real challenge to use the "falsies" they take me forever to put on. Just wondering if the Blinkies are easier?

Another pointless visit to the pediatric dermatologist. Sonce Michael now has eyelashes and eyebrows, he has been changed to alopecia totalis. The doc wants us to try these irritants on his scalp, to stimulate hairgrowth. My husband and I are still against doing that. After all, he's only two and a half. I just get so frustated by everything because there is no set pattern to the condition. He may get a full head of hair when he's 30, he may not. I hate the unexpected, or should I say the unknown. I really am not sure what I want them to tell me. I guess alopecia is different in everyone. But still, I heard "there's really no way to tell" an awful lot in the past two years....grrrrr

I tried the shots in my head way back in 1991 when it all first fell out and that is when I decided I would rather not have hair ever again than to have to do that for a long time. It was painful and I only grew about 10 hairs in every spot the needle went in, to to get a full head requited a lot of injections that I don't think will ever be worth it to me...the injections worked though! I also did the UV ray one where they pretty much just put you into a tanning booth and sunburn your head...I always got peach fuz, but that was all...and I had a constant sunburn...I will probably get skin cancer from doing that...I haven't had a treatment since 1992 and I don't think I will ever get one again if that is how it will go. That is just me though. Good Luck with your decisions Felicia and I LOVE your profile photo!

I got my Blinkies today!! First one went on so easy, second one was a bit of a challenge. But it was sure great to see eyelashes again!! Also got my slide on tattoo eyebrows. They were so easy to put on!! The first ones I tried were to red for me, but I also got some more brown toned. One went on a bit crooked, looks like I have a raised eyebrow, but I dont care its just fantastic to see something up there lol I will remove and redo before I leave the house tho. Going tomorrow to get some better glue, some liquid eyeliner and some cream eyeshadow. I can hardly wait to get "made up" again!! The bottom lashes were a total waste tho, they looked like I stitches under my eyes lol As soon as I get made up Ill take a wigless pic to put up on here.

Hello everyone , I was catching up on evryones comments. It is so good to know I am not alone. As the years go buy it seems to get easier. I am 38 and just went back to school this year. I still can not bring myself to go to school with out any hair. I find myself looking at other peoples hair wishing I had hair.I wonder when will this feeling go away. I don't really wear make up. I do draw on my eyebrows. I started wearing fake eyelash, but I gave that up. It looked good it was just to much work, plus the eyelashes i like are discontinued and I don't like the way the other ones look. I was thinking if I had hair and eyebrows this would seem so petty, but man do I hate those days when I wake up and look in the mirror and I can't get my eye brows right or when I decide to wear eyelashes and i can't get them on and I have ten minutes before I have to leave. I have to talk myself in to leaving my house. Thank God this does not happen everyday. God constently reminds me of how blessed I am.

I realized my quote was wrong..."my hair may never come back, but your ignorance will never go away!" Was what I meant to say - Shasta, you're a beautiful girl...I'm not just saying that. Your wig looks totally natural. I'm glad kids didn't pick on you...I was picked on. But I told myself when I was like five as a Catholic at the time, "if Jesus didn't get angry back at people when they put him on the cross, then I can't get angry back at people her are hurting me." It got me through. I wish I was that nice now! My brother used to tease me about my hair too! What an idiot. Anyway...I had wonderful supportive people in my life too. My kids are the best..I thought nobody would marry me and I'd have no children. I was engaged as a younger woman...we broke up, then years later I was married and have three children. I have turned down men who flirt with me who know I am wearing a wig...I'm waiting for someone of my same faith down the road some...don't want to live with anymore regrets. Something else I realized as a kid...I too made fun of some people. Why wouldn't someone make fun of me too? I guess one time I said to a friend when I was a teenager being repeatedly tormented..."I hope he loses his hair someday, he's so mean to me!" Then I regretted it. But, the same friend came running up to me at a wedding years later and yelling "Ter! HE lost his hair on the top!!!!" We had a good laugh together...but really, it's not funny. One never knows what station of life they will be in...Write anytime! Terry
