Hello Joseph, when you have hair on your head and not on the rest of the body it is called Alopecia Totalis. Universal would be with no hair nowhere.

Hey folks. I just joined this group because technically I have AU. Mine is a little different though. I've had this since I was about 16 years old (I'm 35 now), but I still have hair on my head, although it's non-existent on the rest of my body. Does anyone else have this?

Hello Bruce, I am without hair again since five years now. And yes, from time to time I see spots of little (baby) blond hair on my body. Funny thing is, it is on places it is not supposed to. Like not on the eybrow spot but little closer to the eye lid. Or on my knee two or three hairs. Dont know what for. I just interprete it like my body saying "Hey I am still alive on that hair thing".

Hi there. I'm so excited to release my website www.baldgirlsrock.com. I've had AU for the past 8 years, and AA for almost 30 before that. I've been working on a book for several years, and it's recently started to really take shape. I'm looking for 29 more stories from men, women and children from all over the world so we can all be fully represented. Please "like" my FB page Head-On, Stories of Alopecia to hear updates on how this project is coming together. I look forward to hearing from you, and to help tell your story.

Feel free to share the details of this message with others who have a story to tell. Thank you so much.

I have permanent eyebrow tatoos. They are wonderful. I have had them re-done three times, about 2-3 years apart. BUT, this time I am religiously using SPF 40 on them every day. Hopefully they will not fade as quickly.
