Hey Tracey...I'm still in San Diego (northern part). Ever get down here? Let me know if you're in the area. Mary

No Kidding! Yeah, we actually live in Lake Elmo, near Stillwater. We have a cabin in Webster area of Wisconsin. So you may be familiar. Looking forward to learning more, have a great day!

This is too much, Mina! I grew up in St. Paul, MN, and I remember the weather very well. MN is a beautiful place. My family went to Lake Superior every summer.

Hi Mina - I'm in San Diego - but I used to live in Oregon, which is almost No-Cal. ( ;-)

Hi friendly Cali's. I am a No-Cal girl from the sunshine state. I am looking forward to chatting with other friendly Californians. Take care all!

I want to let everyone in the LA area know about some upcoming performances I have in Santa Monica at a place called Cafe Aman. I'll be there Saturday, Sept. 12 with one band, and Saturday, October 10 with another. It would be great to meet some of you and see some other Alopecians there. If you want details, let me know.

I've worn a head scarve for my previous appearances at Cafe Aman, but I may debut my "Bald Lady Drumming" look this time. Here it is last Saturday in San Diego:

Hi Margie,

I'd love to see you there! It might be a positive experience for your son to see some women with AA bald in public, and you're more than welcome to stop by. I have some National Bald Out buttons that I bought and I'm going to give one to each person with AA who comes...as long as my limited supply lasts. Maybe he'd enjoy getting one. Also, if you like Chico's clothing, we'll be raffling by free drawing a $50 gift certificate that they've donated, and Chico's is also donating 10% of sales that day to Bald Girls Do Lunch, if shoppers mention BGDL. (So bring friends who like to shop at Chico's!)

As you can see from my video about the NBO, the focus of the event is on women with alopecia, and encouraging them to try going bald in public. But, as I said, it might be a good experience for your son, and I'd love to meet him!

Hope to see you there. We'll be near Center Court, across from Chico's and between Macy's and Tommy Bahama, from 11 am - all day.

Hi Mary, I don't have alopecia but my 10 year old son does. We have a soccer tournament in the morning but if you are doing this I wouldn't mind stopping by with him to give support. We just shaved his head a week ago and he is finally going hatless. Let me know if you move forward with this and the time. We live in San Diego (only 15 minutes away from the mall).
