Hi to all. I have dealt with ankylosing spondylitis, thyroid disease, psoriasis, fibro, and hairloss for over 20 years. I managed pretty well until last year when I began TNF blockers. I think they did something to my immune system and I have not been the same. You could never tell I was losing my hair until now. I am having such a hard time because it is coming out in handfuls and its at that point where there is no stylable situation. I have a wig but it hurts my head and I am just having the hardest time. So many drs and derms have told me that I just have TE and it will get better...but it is only getting worse. But because the professionals tell me that my family keeps saying "stop worrying it will get better." But they are not ones who have to struggle with it every day. I am to the point where I don't want to leave the house. I am in such stress because of my pain for my AS and then this awful hairloss and I am angry. I don't want to be but I am. I just want it all to go or stop or something so I can find a way to move on. I have asked God to heal me, then to help me accept whatever, but I am getting nowhere. I really need prayer. Thank you all.

A Christian walk is difficult, but also is a walk with a bald lady. You know I am truly grateful for all that the Lord has done for and to me because if it cannot break you all it can do is make you stronger. I love my bald head, I love my penciled eyebrows and eyeliner pencil, I love my speech impediment, I love eczema. I am forever reminded that the Lord will not put more on you than you can bear; therefore, I must be close to the starting position.

Thank you Jesus!! Please remain encouraged, and remember there's always someone who have it worst than YOU!! We're just missing hair, but we can showcase our natural beauty!! For that...I will ALWAYS be grateful.

Smooches,
Sherry

You know the story of David and Goliath? (1 SAm 17) Sometimes we had to face some "gaints" in our lives too.It can be diffrent things;depression, cancer,a devorce,a son or daughter or alopecia
David did something we all should do - go out and deal with you gaint !!. His secret was that he did not rely on man made things or plans (Saul's armour), but he went into battle with his staff(the power of God),his sling (his faith) and 5 stones(the Word).
He was just a youngster !, but he trusted GOD and so should we.

There is always hope in Jesus. His body was broken and bruised for those who believe in Him. He is merciful. Alopecia rocked my world. I was taken by my feet, flipped upside down and viciously shaken. That's what happened to me! I love the bible and what it teaches. It encourages. If I'd listen to what the docs. told us, to my husband, to neighbors, etc. my daughter would not be healed. I was told I was setting myself up (for almost 4 yrs. I heard it). I got into a healing believing church. I don't believe in works, cause Jesus already paid the price. I swim in faith now. There are no swimming lessons for a tsunami. I didn't ask to be a swimmer! I didn't ask to be tossed around, but Jesus was there holding my hand.I stay afloat. He's my savior! Hang on!
