"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
(2nd Corinthians 12:9)
This verse comes to mind in my life after many many years dealing/coping with alopecia and the faith healed or not healed ...
The Apostle Paul had a thorn in the flesh, given to him by God to keep him humble. Paul asked God three times to remove the thorn but God refused. We don't know what the thorn was exactly. Paul eventually figured out the reason for the thorn (weakness) in his life. Paul's "thorn" was actually being used by God to strengthen Paul's faith. I think this is amazing! Not too many believers fully understanding (or want to understand) this truth. Namely, the problems in our life are blessings in disguise. We must learn to view them from this spiritual point of view. The greater the burden placed upon us, the greater the faith required to "hang-in-there." It takes faith to continue living for God when things turn for the worse in our life. As an example, new muscle in the human body is built (strengthened) by exercising the existing muscle to the point of exhaustion. Likewise, the exercising of our faith (the trial of it) will make us more mature and stable in the Lord if we will be patient and not give up. Sometimes our faith falters for a while, but the righteous man who falleth seven times rises up again (Proverb 24:16). I don't know of one Christian who is invincible. The key is to always get back up off the ground, brush the dust off, and do what you can to get back on track for God. Pray and ask God to help you.

Okay, so I had a moment! Take a deep breath, think of Gods love for us. I will talk to my 15 year old daughter- she is my inspiration too.

feel so ugly today, I know I am blessed with family and friends and my home and church. But having a low day with failing at my job. I want to do so well, some people look at me like I'm a freak! Pray for all of the people that put up with me! Okay so I sound like a freak now. It's snowing in March- blizzard like. I need the sun to make me smile! Food- that will make me happy for a moment. pizza, cheese cake- I will give my daughter a hug and tell her I love her. Thanks for letting me vent.

Just one more thing, I am not rich, by all means I make it pay check to pay check. But all I have is His. All my heart. I will praise Him with all my might. That's what I have for Him. And I am satisfied with His love. He's proven to me over and over and over and over, that He is a prayer answering God. May His shadow follow you/us where ever we go and do. He loves obedience.

God does want you/us healed! If He didn't tell you/us that He doesn't, why wouldn't you ask for it? We are in a battle. Fight back! Fight all day w/prayers and in unity with other believers in His name. Don't give up! Before ANYTHING, you/we were formed in the making of God. We have His DNA. It is hard, but press in people. Greater is He who is in us that he who is in the world. The devil's job is to kill, steal, and destroy. He loves lazy Christians. Be obedient to our Lord. He is merciful. Romans 8:28 "For we know that ALL things work together for good to those who love God." If it doesn't come today or next month, keep fighting. It WILL come. It's for His glory that He heals us. Don't ever be afraid of the devil. God is greater than the universe. If he calls each planet by name, why wouldn't He want to bless us with our hair? Of course He does. But we need to fight for it. Everything has a price. There are so many people (Alopecians) who have been healed "with nothing"? What? Come on. That is so sad for whomever says that. God is bigger than tsunamis and earthquakes, and storms. Keep holding onto Him. He is. He'll never let you/us go. Never. He promised. God is not a lier.

I grew up Catholic. I went to catechism, got married in a Catholic church. Later in my early 20's, I came across a Christian lady who would tell me amazing stories. To make it short, I ended up calling her for all my prayer needs. I started to realize how fear would try to take over then the Lord was helping me. With ReRe's situation, I ran into her church (my church now). What I have learned being a believer in Jesus' love for us is that He is a jealous God. He is mighty. No one else no other thing. I belive it, girl. I've experienced it. One of my favorite verses is Jeremiah 10:6-8 (read it!)If God made us, why would you look to something else for help? I'm not disrespecting any body or anything. God is too good! Too good. I've tasted His sweetness!

I think what the lady meant by the fact that you believe in saints is that the Catholic church canonizes dead people who have met certain qualifications but St. Paul in his New Testament letters calls ALL believers in Jesus Christ saints. The qualification for becoming a Christian, a saint, is to repent of our sins and ask Jesus Christ to be our Savior because He died on the cross for each of us that we might be forgiven by God and spend eternity with Him. Romans 6:23

Got this from www.newscientist.com

Humans are born with a full set of hair follicles, but these can be lost as genetic baldness sets in, or through damage to the skin and in conditions such as alopecia.

The market for treating such conditions is worth some $10 billion a year, with even robots being utilised to transplant hair. However, no truly effective solution exists.

Now, George Cotsarelis at the University of Pennsylvania and colleagues say they can stimulate the formation of new hair follicles.

They use an abrasive wheel to rub away skin from the scalp, causing a new layer of young cells to grow as replacements.

Treating these young cells with drugs that inhibit epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFR) on their surface causes some of the nascent cells to form into hair follicles.

The team says it has tested the idea successfully in mice and on human skin grafted onto mice and have set up a company called Follica to commercialise the idea.

Read the full hair-follicle fertiliser patent application.

Anybody know about this? Does this work? Thanks and God Bless!

I'm very pleased to be in contact with other Christians who have alopecia. I didn't know of anyone else with the universalis type for many years. I have had it 16 years now with no regrowth. I have been reminded by someone lately that God wants to give us the desires of our heart (Ps.37:4) but we must also desire His timing and give Him the right to change our desires, whatever they might be. A favorite verse of mine is Heb. 4:16. It is in prayer that we find grace to help in time of need. If anyone is interested, I have been reading a book called The Quest for Meekness and Quietness of Spirit by Matthew Henry which I ordered from Amazon. It was written many years ago so some of the words are not up to date but it's an amazing book. You are all in my prayers.
