I can remember at 9 years old, waking up to my hair on my pillow- just in days it was gone. I hated God, I hated the world. I was just a kid-how can this happen, I wondered. It took time, but my faith returned and I wouldn't know what to do without God in my life. I sit in church with my husband, children and grandchildren all in one pew- it's wonderful to be a Christian. I am new to "Alopecia World" and would like to get to know women like me. Thanks!

I totally agree with Ann's comment. I never asked to be healed, only to find the best way to deal with it, and He answered my prayer. I am at peace with it now and LOVE my freedom hair. I see it as part of His plan. As Christians, we have to accept things we don't want sometimes and to trust Him through it.

I am responding to Phil's comment. We must believe that with God ALL things are possible and pray believing that we be healed (it is my desire as much as anyone's) but we must also remember that we want HIS will to be done and God doesn't heal ALL diseases. Sometimes He has a better plan and we must be open to that too.

i will be praying for us all at 4 est this sunday, and every sunday after as long as you all want to keep doing it. I too believe in the power of prayer and i am believing that we will be healed. I cant stress enough how important it is for us to BELIEVE we are going to be healed and I cant wait to see what comes of this. Please read this passage from James Ch 1: 2-8:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
