Thanks alot for ying our encouraging words and thoughts! I believe that one thing God wants be to be blessed with is the ability to focus on inner beauty and let go of the obsession with appearance. As the world puts it, and people in my famiy too, looks mean alot! That is one of the reasons I have had an eating disorder for years. I think God wants me to be set free from the worry of how I look. And this hair loss is doing just that! I am less concerned with how I look and more accepting of myself. I want to be a better person inside and spiritually. I am looking for some good spiritual reading to start. I think I am going to start reading the shack. I would like to reccommend any book by Marrianne Williamson. Particularly A return to love. That is a very inspiring book! God bless you!- Amanda<>/body>

Hey guys, hope you're all doing well! It's great to see so many encouraging messages on here,it really does help to come on and see them when I've had a bad day of it. It reminds me that God is always, always, always there and I can see that in the words of everyone here. Also, welcome to the new members amongst us! Again I'd just like to remind you all that if you guys want prayer for anything specific,or just a chat, feel free to email me at meganlackie@hotmail.co.uk.
Amanda - this is is not a punishment. As Pam said below,God does not punish.I remember thinking exactly the same thing as you when I first found out about my hair, and I recently went through a rough patch with my faith, and also stopped going to church and church groups as regularly, distancing myself from God.Believe me,go back to God with it all and lay it at his feet and things will be much better. He is there with love in his eyes for you,his arms wide open with strength and support for you. His back is not turned on you and you are not being punished. Please, please keep that in mind. Feel free to get in touch for a chat about it because I have felt the way you feel right now.

God does not punish. Sometimes things just happen and we dont get to know why, but we will find out when we get to Heaven. Just rest assured that there is a reason, but not as punishment, especially for something that was out of your control such as an eating disorder. Do not believe that God has forsaken you. Its just hair.

I am very new to this and dont know what has caused it, I think that is the most frustrating thing. I have felt like God leads me to know what I need to do to fix every struggle I go through in my life and He always answers my prayers. In one way or another. Sometimes it is something I need to do with my own will sometimes I do, sometimes I dont. But this is the first thing that makes me wonder if God has forsaken me or if I just deserve it for some reason. I have has an eating disorder for years and wonder if it is punishment for that. I dont know. But I am more grateful for His wonderful blessings and mercy than grudgful for the loss of hair. I just hope it stops falling out. I am looking for new relationships and new growth through this. I think God allows things to happen for a reason. And this is no different. I just want to follow His reasoning. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I wear wigs, hats and scarves. Wigs for work and posing (!!!!) and hats and scarves for relaxation. Hats are great in the Canadian winter - warm and cozy - and nobody cares how they look when they go outdoors in winter here. It beats having to worry about getting snow/ice/rain on the wig, or worrying about strong winds! Scarves are good for the summer - also sun hats. I've found that if you don't care, nobody else does!

I love reading everyone's comments on here. It is SO very encouraging! I am still wearing wigs-almost 4 years now-but I am thinking about transitioning to scarves and/or hats. I think I am just needing a nudge in that direction. :) If any of you are on facebook, please feel free to add me! This is such a great website! :)

Cool beans. I will find you on facebook. I know about the website challenge. Websites can be so expensive to have it customized professionally and painful to create yourself if that is not your forte! Good luck with that. God sent me some Angels to help me get mine done. He always gives me what I need but for some reason he waits until I am just about to jump off a very tall sidewalk! It would be a bridge but I'm afraid of heights. lol. He's an on time God.
