Hi Vicsta,
Wow that's quite the compliment, thank you very much. I use ealstic and the thread that you use to do your beadwork. I have some in a store here , I've sold one so far. Perhaps I'm asking too much for them. I use some vintage buttons and semi-precious stones and other things. What are your favourite colours?

Hi Marie

Wow that is really pretty - beautiful in fact. I love the colours you used. What is the base that you are attaching the beads to?

I do more traditional bead stringing, so I tend to use thread or sometimes a type of monofilament. My mum uses wire more when she makes necklaces.

Hi Vic,
Thank you so much for your speedy reply and the picture as well. I can see how it would be a creative past time to decorate these. I like anthing that requires a lot of detail.

Well, like yourself I enjoy making beaded jewellery like bracelets and earrings, not so much necklaces at this point. Here's a photo of one of the bracelets I've made:

Hi Marie

Bunting is like a flag material on a length of tape/ribbon that was traditionally used to decorate parties. In the UK it has now become fashionable to use small lengths of it to decorate rooms (a bit vintage I guess). Here is an example: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_XzEqnllxy60/S_9AyWDScvI/AAAAAAAADkI/1P-kp...

My bunting was just a calico base in the shape of the triangles on a string. I think I have 6 or 7 triangles. So far I have decorated about 4 and am on my 5th. I will definitely show you when I have finished it. It is time consuming, but in a nice relaxing way as I can sit in bed or on the couch doing it whilst watching tv or just enjoying the quiet.

What type of jewellery do you make? I make beaded necklaces and bracelets.

Hello Jen,
Your flowers are beautiful, probably even lovelier in person and they look relatively easy to make too. I can just imagine a bunch in different shades of purple, lilac, lavender oh my they would be gorgeous, maybe even a white one here and there!!

Hello Vicsta,

A question, what is bunting, a flag type of material? Sounds like a large undertaking.

I am currently sewing some bunting (decorating it with hand-stitched applique, ribbon and other things) to hang in my bedroom. The base of the bunting was given to me by my sister for my birthday. It's turned out to be more work than I thought!
