Due to the herpes simplex virus in combination with eczema I have had to take Aciclovir 400mg tablets uncountless times since I was a teenager.  Some opinions on the the net are that Aciclovir could be a trigger for alopecia and hair loss is actually stated as a (rare) side effect.  It would interest me if anyone has had personal experiences with Aciclovir and ffa.  For example whether a course of these tablets seemed to trigger it off or lead  to a break out etc.  Thanks in advance for any answers.

I have never taken Acyclovir.

And for a little comic relief here is what Siri typed when I dictated that sentence:

“I have never taken a cycle of year.”

take care

Thanks anyway. Siri is a little gem sometimes!:)

Hi Rachel

i have used the same medication topically to treat cold sores.  I had chicken pox and Epstein-Barr virus as a child and have always had skin allergies.  Hopefully this sharing of information will lead to something in our quest to understand and eventually treat this hideous condition.

I've never taken aciclovir either.
