If anyone's dermatologist  is knowledgeable on FFA, would you mind sharing his/her name and contact information. I live in OK and have been unsuccessful at finding and educated doctor with FFA experience. I am more than willing to travel to ensure I get best advice/treatment possible. I'm pretty frustrated with the dermatologist search. There are many doctors on the CARF list, however, I would like anyone's first hand experience as well. I know some of you are happy with your dermatologist and I would appreciate if you would share their information. If you don't want to post their information on here, you can email me directly: ddilldine@tds.net  Thank you in Advance

You have probably been referred to http://www.carfintl.org/ already but if not is a great resource. They will send you a list of doctors in your area. I am in North Carolina in the United States. I have been referred to specialist at Duke University but was told it will take months to get an appointment. There is another specialist at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem and I have been told that doctor is even harder to see. My dermatologist is treating me in the meantime.

I hope you were able to find someone near you.

Dr. Amy McMichael in Winston-Salem, NC.  I was on her waiting list for almost a year before I could get an appointment.

I go to Dr. Maria Colavincenzo and Dr. Melanie Clark at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. Since Northwestern is a teaching hospital, I see Dr. Clark first (a second year resident) and Dr. Cola comes in to assess Dr. Clark's recommendations. I like that I get two sets of eyes on me during each visit! Dr. Clark is leaving soon but I will probably continue to visit during resident clinic hours. At my first appointment Dr. Clark asked if I could come in during her clinic hours, as FFA is becoming more prevalent and it's really beneficial for them to see young patients with it (I'm 37.)
