No my baldness is restricted to my hairline. Hair is thinning for at least 3 inches further back, but no obvious patches.

Hello Ella, yes I do have bald patches at my temples. This is how I first knew somethiing was wrong in December 2011. BAck in December they were small round completely smooth circles - about 1/2 and inch across. Now they have grown and are about 1 and a half inches across and receede about 1 and a half inches. No hair has regrown on these patches. My dermatologist has said the hair follicles are scarred and there will not be any regrowth. The front of my hairline has receede. The hair gets thinner and thinner and just disappears. There is red around the hair follicle before it dies. I had some slight itching a few months ago, that has now stopped completely. I hope this helps.

Mine is patchy like that. Round smooth patches with little bits of hair in between in some spots but mostly gone. I do have a very thin strip of hair along the front hairline, but then bald about 2 inches back from that. not pretty.

I had that last winter, one on top and two in side hair line. They all grew back, but I just wore a wig to cover and left it alone. However, I have a client with FF and her entire hair line disappeared and has not re-grown despite meds etc.
