Udis has wonderful bread, it does contain yeast so if your looking for yeast free bread then you should look to Kinnikinnick they make a great yeast free good tasting bread. Hope that this helps.

I did the gluten free thing with her for a few month just to help her but my son and husband still eat bread. We stopped buying so much of the junk food like cookies and crackers for a few months. Now Lillian doesn't even look at them. She has her own treat options that she likes. I funny. It was like withdrawal and now she doesn't crave it. They say we crave what we are the most allergic to. For me, I started having stomach issue so I started eating a bit more wheat products, but we have switched some of our product to gluten free for the whole family. I think too much gluten is bad for everyone. We use brown rice pasta which actually tastes better than the regular pasta. Pamela's mixed products makes some great baking mixes that are gluten free. We buy it in bulk from amazon. We also use Bob's Red Mill gluten free rolled oats to make cookies. It's enough to get us buy. Lillian use brown rice cakes in place of bread and it actually tastes pretty good. She can't have yeast, milk, or egg products either . It pretty much eliminated all the bread choices. There is one bread out there but it tasted like styrofoam.

It's been try and error but we got the hang of it and she doesn't even complain much at all.

Its hard thats for sure. I'm still learning after 7 years of trying to as GF as possible my our lives depend on it. Thus far is there is no cure only GF foods. The magic pill that they were working on hasn't been fully tested and isn't what they the labs techs, scienctist haven't found it to be helpful. There are so many wonderful GF foods on the market these days that it makes this way of life easier. I would like to post some sites if possible here.

Wow! It is bumpy at first. It's only been about 9 months for me. I'm still trying products from time to time and finding tastier ones. The other night my husband grilled burgers....and yes, mine was lettuce wrapped.

It is nice to be so far along...at first I was a conqueror; then I was stressed out and mad; then I just got over it and moved on. Going gluten-free is probably one of the best things I've ever done....or rather, been forced to do!

How was Thanksgiving for you guys?

Does the rest of your household also eat gluten-free? I'm the only one in mine. It's crazy the number of times I have to wash my hands a day since I cook for everyone else!!

Thanks for joining!!! ;)
