I had microblading done. I am loving it. I did a video of it. I was so anxious for the first appointment. I thought I could help others make a decision to get theirs done or not to get them done by knowing exactly what goes on. You can see the video here
Yes it's painful...however it's bearable. I'm glad I got mine done because it has given me my face back to some extent. Yes it fades over time as do the eyebrows but interestingly my brows have faded more than the eyeliner. In retrospect I would do the eyeliner in a dark brown, not black as I did as it is a bit stark. I had brown put over the black after the black faded a little.
I also had eyeliner tattooed and it faded to nothing in just a couple of years. Never will I do that again -- so painful, expensive and disappears! I tried gel eyeliner and it also migrates down under my eyes. I look like a football player!
I've had eyeliner tattooed but as it is faded to a greyish blue colour, I have to add pencil. Even before alopecia I had trouble keeping eyeliner in place so I'd love to find one that does the job. Gel eyeliner seems to be okay, but I don't use it at the waterline. Getting crinkled eyes now so it's harder and harder to find one that stays put and doesn't look too stark for a 60+ woman.
Shoot, I tried that and yes it's nice and dark, but it quickly showed up under my eyes. I use it on the waterline and not many eyeliners can stand up to that.
I like L'Oreal Infallible Silkissime eyeliner....The black is the blackest I have ever seen or tried, really. But I love the purple, it is a true purple and their is a turquoise I love. I like pencils better than liquid. I have no control over liquid. I have tried so many things, and I don't think expensive liners are any better. Just my opinion. Give it a go, you can always just return it !!!
Can anyone recommend eyeliner that doesn't end up under your eyes? With no eyelashes it's a problem!
Hi Pat
Yes i hear you...i love makeup now.especially eye shadow quads.I like Chanel and Chantecaille.
Hi everyone, I haven't been on AW for quite some time, but just joined this group as I was wondering if I was the only one who went from wearing little to no makeup pre alopecia, to now not wanting to leave the house without it on? I am having fun with makeup these days but just wish I'd discovered it sooner in my pre wrinkled days lol
