I actually thought Hugo was pretty good, really good even, especially for a movie aimed at children. What exactly did you hate about it? DRIVE was excellent. Loved that movie.

Hugo was excruciating the first I have walked out on in 33 years. Martin Scorsese has never let me down but this time he drooped the ball big time.

Just saw Mission Impossible with Tom Cruise and Jeremy Renner.
Totally Action Packed!

I been watching a lot of older movies lately. I like the movie Queen. It's old, so I wouldn't recommend unless you just like movies passed in the older days.

Drive is a movie than is stunning in its brutality, Ryan Gosling is quietly menacing as the Driver harking back to Clint Eastwood as the man with no name, and Bryan Cranston will win an Academy award for his portray as the flawed friend of the driver. Christina Hendricks is a revelation in a cameo role that spins this film and the drivers character to places one finds it hard to follow. She is bigger than Mad Men and shows she is an actor not afraid to take a role than is less than flattering. This is almost a perfect film the soundtrack is repetitive but this is a minor quibble. If you like cinema where the story is not spelt out and where you have to come to your own conclusion about characters you will enjoy the Driver. Be warned there a some scenes in this film that I found hard to watch my partner could not watch we both however found this film engrossing in its power to deliver, difficult in the loss of innocence by its characters and the violence is unflinching. We are however both talking about it 3 days later which says something about its impact. 5 stars

How was it Jeff? I still haven't seen it! I'm kind of slacking on the movies BUT I have started watching T.V. series again. I'm rewatching the first season of 24 and if no one has seen the show 24, buy the first season and start watching it from the beginning. You will be hooked!
