OK, I'll start since I'm probably someone with Alopecia for the longest time (over 50 years:-) I tried to get in the trials early on but the screen said I was too old and had alopecia universals for too many years. I figured when they marketed it I would not be in the target group. It had been working for a few in our support group with no problems but they were very recent alopecians. Then when Olunimant finally became available I asked my primary and she said that she felt for me the risks of side effects was not worth it, not to mention the cost. Going to see what my dermatologist has to say on my next annual inspection, but he always seem more interested in my bumps and spots than my hair loss!

I did not have insurance that would cover but applied through manufacturer and qualified for the $25 month. I also have same condition for over 20 years, but am showing some promising signs.

I've had this happen to me as well many times.  I've had AA to AU over 40+ years, and even before then, I could never get into a study.  Now, I know its too late as I've been told over 20 years AU to just forget looking for a cure or treatment.
