Hi all, I'm a Jersey Girl from Bayonne. I had Alopecia Areata (bald patches) and fortunately I had regrowth with medical treatment. My hair's still baby-thin though. Losing hair is so traumatic.

Hi, All! Been away from this site for a long time. Lots of changes since I was here last! Anyway, I'm in the middle of a nursing course (LPN) and one of my instructors starts a talk on immunology by saying: "I have this immune disorder that causes my body to reject my hair. It's called - " She was interrupted by half the class with "Alopecia Universalis!" "You've heard of it?" she asked, and half the class pointed at me! I've told her about this site, since she's only had her onset in the last year and a half. She is a very confident woman who has handled her loss of hair with alacrity and style!

Been very busy and have not been to the site. Well the calender tells us it is summer, but it does not feel like it yet. We were talking about a day at the shore this summer. If anyone has an interest let set a date, for a get together.
