I was at a not so trendy Old Country Buffet when a guy walked by, stopped dead in his tracks, turned around carefully balancing his loaded plate and said: "Wow! GREAT hair! How do you keep it so smooth?" I explained. He shook his head sadly and said, "I hate having to shave all the time." I told him I felt sorry for him, but unfortunately AU isn't contagious. He snapped his fingers, said dang and walked away. Okay, ladies...now we've got 'em jeaous! lol

Just home from dinner in a trendy area of San Diego with visiting relatives. I'm walking down the street, and some guys sitting at tables on the sidewalk call out "lookin' good!" as I go by. Hold your head up and own it, ladies!

Ok thanks girls ,, I am over the pout session I was in, I like being bald truly and got frustrated having to defend the look, because really I enjoy being bald. And Pam you are so right it is EASY,, no wonder men love it. Thanks again Sisters.

Carol,
When someone asks me that I look at them in mock horror and say: You're kidding, right? Give up my sassy do...my easy mornings...my no chicken'butt hair ever...my built in reading lamp light reflector...the baby butt smoothe head my husband loves to carress? What....are you nuts? Then I laugh, a big hearty laugh and say my worst nightmare is growing that useless stuff back! That usually shuts em up.

Thanks, I have just become exhausted with the suggestions of how to cover up, went to see friend who is dying and all she could talk about was how I should cover up, Just left there wanting to scream, I could not even stay with her, and really needed some polite ways to say " shut the @#$% up in a nice way.

Great comment, Carol! I get that same damn question from men and from women. The first thing I say is "Have you ever worn a wig?" Invariably, they say "No." Then I tell them that unless they've worn one, they have no idea how hot and uncomfortable they are. (Apologies to those of you reading this who wear wigs....I'm really happy they work for you.)

Once in awhile, I ask the questioners whether they'd wear a knit cap indoors or in warm weather. Of course not! They usually get it then.

On a lighter note - today a man with male pattern baldness came to my folk dance class. He usually attends another class, and just stopped by at the end of my class to see someone. He's bald on top, with a fringe. I told him he should come to my class because I'd make him feel like he has lots of hair. It got a good laugh.

Speaking of wigs, for those of us who chose not to wear one, I can not tell you how many time lately someone has said, " have you ever thought of wearing a wig?" someone please help me with a polite response. I am ready to lose it with the next poor soul who says this. I said this to a bald male friend ,( have you ever thought of wearing a wig? and everyone just laughed, hmmmm , I really want to just be able to be bald and not be pitied.
