Hey all,

been apart of the group for a while but never posted a comment.
Just wanted to say hello.. I'm Jessica.
I have pretty bad AA and shave daily because what i have left isn't enough to do much with.
Although i have AA and a bad case still feel at times that i don't fit in.
At times I feel like becasue I don't have AT or AU others look at me like why are you here ( support groups etc.)
How do you all deal with this or have you ever felt this way?

Yes, I was thinking the same way, a show that would promote BALDNESS not pity it. A show that would show how beautiful BALD women are and how confident we are. And like you said, one with beauty tips, makeovers, etc. Maybe a couple of lace front wig giveaways, something like that. I'm sending another letter this weekend...we'll see how it goes!

Good for you, Linda! It seems like such a perfect topic for either show...especially Oprah. I've written to her show a couple of times. And, I don't think it should be not one of those "pity" things: "oh, how sad it is these women don't have hair", or just a makeover (help with wigs, etc.)

I've been writing Oprah and Ellen, about once every two months, hoping one will want to do a story on bald women and give visibility to alopecia. So far nothing, but there's always hope. I always point them here to find out just how beautiful BALD is, hopefully they will take notice and invite a group of us in for an guest appearance.

Good luck getting on Mary,, we sent her a letter also hoping she will do a show for us bald gals. I figure the more that we write all the talk shows and show up there bald in audience or as guest that we will be recognized and it will become common to see proud bald women around. Thanks for the nice comments girls.

You looked so beautiful, Carol!!! What a great example you set!

And, OMG, you got so much stuff! What a stroke of luck that you were there on a big give away day.

I'm going to try to get tickets for sometime in June to promote the National Bald Out. I understand that the show doesn't give tickets to repeat within a year. I'm hoping that there are some LA-area ladies out there who might want to go together. Congratulations, Carol.
