This is a good discussion Nicole- thank you for indulging me. So with all that we've said, have you thought about our auto-immunity issue? I guess you have not had a bad reaction from the tattoo ink? Did you heal well?

From my experience with tattoos, the upper part of the back and arms do not hurt that bad. It feels like little needles prickling your skin. I will tell you though, that you need to think about something good and concentrate on it to ignore what the artist is doing. I was just thinking, I want to get a small butterfly on the back of my head near the nape area. I know....it's sounds crazy lol But why not have fun while being bald.... :-)

I cannot believe it cost that much to get your eyebrows tattooed on. I am in the Northern VA area and the most I have seen so far is $400. I want to get mine done so bad so I can stop drawing them on.

Thanks Nicole. You're right about the eyebrow tattoo- I've decided to go with a good artist here in Atlanta who charges $700. I truly hate that it costs so much; I just don't understand the price gouge. As for the Phoenix tat, what areas don’t hurt so much? I want to give this a lot of thought before doing it.

Hey Gelena- Getting a tattoo is not all that bad. I have three and plan to get two more. It all depends where you are getting the tattoo. I'm debating whether to go for the eyebrow tattoo. I keep hearing good & bad things about it. So I need to weigh the pros & cons of it. It is kinda costly, so if I am going to pay that type of money...the person better to great at what they do & love what they do.

Thank you ladies for your encouragement! It's a process I know- that sinking feeling when I see someone with beautiful hair will lessen with time. As for now, I accept my new appearance as that of the Phoenix, burning away the old to become something new and amazing. Secretly I plan to tattoo a Phoenix somewhere, but the decision to do it is slow- I heard that tattoos hurt.
I will tattoo my eyebrows when I have the disposable income to do it. Has any sisters here done the permanent makeup procedure? I’ve never had a tattoo; what is the experience like?

LOL, Lori, you are soooo funny, girl, the Eagles are a football team from Pennsylvania and the Cardinals are from Arizona...the Eagles were coming back, but they lost by a touchdown to the Cardinals...it was their missed chance to go to the SuperBowl. :-(

Are we talking birds or some kind of sports team? I am thinking aren't Eagles bigger than itty bitty cardinals? Could be Cardinals with an attitude I guess.... either way my condolences Linda for you beloved Eagles be it bird or team.....

LOL, I <3 you guys, this is good for me, it's good to talk to others about this subject. You all "ROCK"--my grand daughters say that to me all the time.
Lori, I'm sure you are hiding a beautiful head under your hair...it's an Alopecian rite, we all have beautiful heads, lol!
Vicsta, YW!
Waaaaahhhhh, my Eagles are getting their feathers plucked by the Cardinals!

Hi Galena and Kathy!! Thanks for writing your stories and messages... I enjoyed reading them.

Linda - I feel very at home in this group... thanks for creating it! I have a shimmer powder stuff that would work well on a shaved/bald head, what a great idea. :o)

Lori - hope you are having a nice weekend.
