Dara Lynn, you are in my prayers, but you are going to love the way the barber shaves your head. I had it done once, it was one of the best experiences~whoohoo. He washed and conditioned my scalp, then massaged it, wrapped it in a hot towel for a few minutes, then he put a very warm lather of shaving cream on my head, he then shaved it ever so carefully with a straight razor. After rinsing and cleansing again, he wrapped my head in a very cool towel, removed it and massaged it again. Whooooo!

Ohhhh Linda I wish I could find a decent moisturizer..... I am dehydrated all the time and it shows up in my skin the most.....No matter what I put on it does nothing....Oh well worse things could happen....

Hi Linda,
I'm going to the barber this morning for my first shave. I am a little afraid, but I know that it has to be done. I don't want to look like patches :). Pray for me.

Falling asleep on "lord of the rings"...wow, either this is extremely boring or I'm an old fart!

The hobbit houses are the best Linda. Wouldn't mind one myself. Hehe Lord of the Rings is complex... I had to get my mum to explain what was going on the first time I watched it.

I cannot be bothered with makeup, but when my head was shaved, I made more effort to wear it for some reason. I also wore longer earrings. I wear earrings all the time, but usually studs. I felt like I needed to kinda colour myself up a little. I am lucky as I have eyelashes and I have only ever lost half my eyebrows (I think due to other health issues) and these have now grown back. I do realise that makes it easier in many ways to not need makeup.

Jojoba oil is great for moisturising your skin and your scalp! Mix it with some essential oils and give your scalp a massage ;o).

Got it! My grand daughters are with me, it's "FreeTime Friday" for their Mamas, they teaching me about hobbits, lol! They're making me watch Lord of the Rings, thanks Vicsta :-( Funny creatures those hobbits, I think I can be one, staying close to the fire in my little house with warm clothes and "gruel" in my pot, lol, life would be easy!
Nicole I tried those color in or stencil eyebrows, my kids said I looked surprised all the time, so I stopped. Now I spend about 10 minutes in the mirror, when I want to enhance my eyebrows, making them straight. My daughters are make-up mavens, I don't know where they get it from, I hate makeup and I hate routines...
Lori, start moisturizing now, I'm dry too, but I only use one moisturizer, I've used it most of my life. It's CVS dry skin therapy, I love it, but, it gives me the shine. When I use nothing, the shine comes but not as bright.

Gosh I never really thought about it looking good... I just wanted it off. I became so distressed by the amount falling out, I was like... just get this 'stuff' (hair) off me now. Plus, it was getting embarassing because people were finding my hair in everything... food, drinks, floor, surfaces. I felt like a moulting animal.

So long as your significant other thinks you look beautiful, does it really matter about everyone else? Plus, if you have a wig or scarves, you don't have to bare all at once or ever if you don't feel that you want to.

Hehe Linda... glad you are getting with the hobbit action. My BFs nickname for me is Lil Hobbit LOL. I am kinda short and could do with losing a few pounds... it all goes to completing the overall hobbit look, plus I like staying in my home with my fire and my lil dog. Hobbits like their homes and the countryside.

Cheek implants - that's so not cool, unless you have some medical+cosmetic reason for them. Lori I cannot see how he could say that, but I guess he was wanting to get the $$$$. I am all for a bit of surgery if it makes you feel better... I agree about the diamonds though.

When it was winter, I used to wear a little fleece hat on my head in bed cos it felt so cold and scarves in the house and wig to work... I didn't really bare it a lot until it was warmer.

You know what "shine" is nice.... I am the opposite....soooooooooo dry. You guys look healthy with the shine and you will look younger longer....not like me who is destined for "prunehood" before my time.....whoa's me.....LOL
