The event will see children from all over the UK come together for a fun packed weekend of cowboy and indian fun at Scarborough's very own Wild West. The purpose of the event is to allow children and parents to meet other families who suffer the consequences of the devastating condition alopecia. The weekend break for these children has been based on the American model run for the last six years and aims to deliver confidence and help children adjust to life with this condition. Throw in some empowerment and acceptance then kick it up with a cowboy and indian theme, campfires, fancy dress and outdoor activities to bring the children's best ever experience yet.

Although the event is aimed at children there is no stopping a group of adults joining us in the fun. We have a group of the BeBold adults attending.

Prices are as follows but will be sold strictly on a first come first served basis. We have limited availability at the site.

Furnished Tipi / Cowboy Shacks £ 50.00 (Holds up to 2 adults & 3 Children or 4 adults)

Unfurnished Tipis £30.00 (Holds up to 2 adults & 3 Children or 4 adults) £ 30.00

I have 10 camping pitches where you can bring your tent which will be offered for free.

Hi Martin and Welcome
Try the Alopecia UK online site, there's loads of information on there and theres a support group in Cardiff.
Male pattern balness (sometimes called Female pattern Baldness when it affects us women inc me!) can also be referred to as "Genetic Alopecia" and / or Androgenic Alopecia. This might help if your reading various sites and articles. Alopecia Aerata, Totalis and Universalis are different forms of Alopecia.

Good luck with your "getting your head around it"

All the best

Helen
