Vancouver Alopecia Areata Support Group

Hello Vancouverites! Connecting is one of the best ways to feel happier and become more informed! Come as you are, whether you are shy or outgoing. This is a genuine and fun group where all of us - new to alopecia or experienced, hair-wearer or au natural, seeking treatment or not - all come together and be supportive, informative, and positive for one another. After 4+ years of running this group, I can say for sure that you'll feel better after a meetup! :)

Come to our monthly meetups, or, start by joining this group and be in the loop of upcoming meetups! Sometimes I include alopecia news / remedy / stories too.

If your kid / teen has alopecia, please contact us and we'll put you in touch with other parents! It'll be, I believe, quite awesome for your child :)

Upcoming Meetups

This group gets together monthly at one of the members' homes - a cozy, positive, and fun environment, for those with alopecia. We are here to support one another, and every meetup has been amazingly mood-lifting.

Join us here and we'll send next meeting details to you in a group email!

You can always get a hold of us via AW messaging or at alopecia.vancouver[at]gmail.com

We are affiliated with CANAAF (Canadian Alopecia Areata Foundation).

Next meet up: We meet about once a month. Please email Tanya at the emil address above!

Hi Everyone...Thanks for passing along my name/contact info to Steve, I'll also PM him so he knows a bit more about the Calgary Group.
Keep being awesome everyone!
Oh....on a side note I will be in Vancouver within the next month if anyone is wanting a Freedom Consult.
Enjoy your weekend!

On the note of info sharing, here's mine:
1. Yoga has been great for me for relaxing and strengthening my core. YYoga has a really good offer right now of $40 for 30 days of unlimited classes. Amazing.

2. Cat intro'd me to colon cleanse / hydrotherapy a couple years ago. (Very unappetizing topic at the dinner table today, sorry! haa) Great for skin issues (eczima, psoriasis, acne) and digestive issues. It's been a while since my last cleanse, and holiday dinners had lingering effects in my system it seemed, so I found Inner Garden (3 sessions for $150 right now). Vestta is a great place too (make sure you see Kevin because he knows what he is doing!)

That's the info from me for now :) Oh and I started doing yoga without a wig, and it feels awesome! After hot yoga and shower, while other girls are still blow drying their hair, I put on my wig and I'm ready to jet! Bonus!

We had an awesome meetup! Thanks Chris for hosting! And thanks JLo for driving 3 of us! It was so great to see everyone and catch up, and hear about what's been happenin' in your lives! :)

It was nice to have Eric - first guy to attend our meetups, haha!

Deeann, Elenore, and Enzina - we missed you and wished you were able to come / not sick!

Lots of eating and drinking and talking. All of you who came - please share your links / info on things we discussed! Scoby, kombucha, Vitamine D3, cabbage juice, psoriasis, colon hydration, and.. CBD ;)

Looking forward to our next meetup. Perhaps we can drink some kombucha tea next time!

xoxo
