Hello Vancouverites! Connecting is one of the best ways to feel happier and become more informed! Come as you are, whether you are shy or outgoing. This is a genuine and fun group where all of us - new to alopecia or experienced, hair-wearer or au natural, seeking treatment or not - all come together and be supportive, informative, and positive for one another. After 4+ years of running this group, I can say for sure that you'll feel better after a meetup! :)
Come to our monthly meetups, or, start by joining this group and be in the loop of upcoming meetups! Sometimes I include alopecia news / remedy / stories too.
If your kid / teen has alopecia, please contact us and we'll put you in touch with other parents! It'll be, I believe, quite awesome for your child :)

Connie: Are you back from your first trip already?
I'll be out of town May 4th to 23rd, so unfortunately I won't be able to join the road trip to the Seattle NAAF....too bad because I'm also really overdue for a visit to Nordstrom's :)
The T.V. coverage changed at the last minute. Many of the ladies did not want to be on camera...they suggested just shooting hands/conversation etc., but in the end we did not have the turn out. My friend Vanessa who helps head up the Calgary group with me was the only one interviewed and they focused on her nomination for The Women of Vision Award.....but at the end of the video clip they did mention our Calgary support group and as a result we've had several inquires.
Btfldbaldgrrl...if I confirm NAAF, let's connect for sure.
Thanks Sandra! Hi back, and hoping to see you again soon! :)
I'd love to attend the upcoming NAAF, but haven't confirmed. Everyone who's attended NAAF loved it. I just wish it was closer to Disneyland :)
ps. How did the TV appearance go for the Calgary group?
I will be at NAAF. Great to see you on here again Sandra!!
Hi Everyone, I have not been on the board for a while so I wanted to say "hi"....Wow, is the Vancouver Group ever doing some great things. You are truly inspirational. Our Calgary Group is growing in numbers, but everyone wants to keep it pretty casual/under the radar for now. Is anyone planning on attending the NAAF conference in Washington this year....I'm giving it some thought. Take Care!! P.S. Tanya...so happy for you, best of luck in the Den!! Will it be airing on t.v.? We are big fans in my house.
The NAAF Seattle event is the 19th of May. Sorry about that. Here is the link: http://www.naaf.org/site/Calendar/308632819?view=Detail&id=104361
We could head that way on the Friday night, and head back later in the day on Saturday.
Yay Road Trip, the 11th is a Friday :(. That makes it tough, I have used up all my holidays.
I will get Googles Event Scheduler up and running. Would it be possible for all group members to send me their emails via Alopecia World Mail or Possibly Tanya, you could send me a list that would be easier. I'll work on that this week gals. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon. :)
I can probably do the first week in May, but not the 11th here in Seattle (bummer). May's super busy, but do what works best for the majority, and I'll work super hard to make it. Love....getting together with you all. See you soon.
Oooh I like that idea!
