For those of you that wear glasses with your Freedom, how do you manage with them over the ear flaps? I'm thinking of ordering my new wig with that edge taken up higher but am worried about whether this will be noticeable in a wind. What experience of this do others have>

Hi Chris

This is a personal choice and in my experience with those I help in New Zealand most want to have the ear flaps so they sit above their glasses. This also can help with the possibility of mechanical damage in this area.

The things I check if I am doing this is the width of the glasses - there is a natural hairline that IA's know to adhere to - you can not lift the ear flaps too high, there is a right and wrong around this. I would not lift the ear flap any higher than the width of a eyebrow pencil.

Once you cut your perimeter hair in the positioning of your earflap will look very natural if it is only lifted as I have explained.

Hi Rosy

Thanks for the reply. I don't wear glasses just sometimes for reading small print or sewing. I have found this very tricky with a wig, made even more difficult having small ears!
I talked to Sue about this when I tried my fit cap and we took a bit off, taking the flap up to the level of the top of the ear plus a bit more. It was only afterward I wondered whether this might be noticeable in a wind so wondered how others overcame this.
Should I revert back to the ear flaps do you think?

Its funny you mention that as I mentioned when I ordered my one coming. I've taken a centimeter off the back behind my ears to see if that helps putting them on. I was recommended to not go higher on the side as it could look funny. No one else has commented maybe no one other than us has thought about it? I'll let you know how my new one goes.
