Hi Guys

I have yet another question: Does anyone wearing a Freedom Wig ride motorcycle? I commute to work on a bike and I was wondering if the helmet would damage my Freedom Wig (once I get it!). Is there any way to protect my Freedom?

Thanks again for all your patience in answering my many questions.

No problems. :)

Wear and tear on your Freedom Wig will occur because of your lifestyle, but you have to live. I don't believe there should be any undue hairloss because of your helmet wearing, but if you are concerned maybe wrap a silk scarf around your hair before you put on your helmet. This should afford some protection from undue friction etc.

Hope that helps.

Hi Janine,
I go snowmobiling often in the winter and have to wear a helmet with my Freedom Wig. There has yet to be hair loss from this and the best part is that my hair stays on when I am taking the helmet off. I would suggest for more daily helmet use to find a helmet that is easy to take on and off (possibly the kind without a visor) to ensure that there isn't a constant large pull when taking off the helmet otherwise you are good to go. I am jealous actually. Owning a Harley is on my bucket list...one day for sure! Enjoy your ride.

HiJanine

I cycle with a helmet. In order to preserve my Freedom, I wear the synthetic wig I had before my Freedom. No-one can really see it properly and it gives me hair that I don't have to worry about.

That's great advice, thank you Chris.

Well Guys, I am seeing my stylist on Saturday to shave off what little is left of my very pathetic hair! I am absolutely terrified. I have a 12 in lace wig that I will use until my Freedom Piece is done, but I'm quite scared that it will come off or slip! Next Saturday I'm seeing my local Freedom Agent to take a mould and order my first Freedom -- now that's something I'm quite excited about! I dread wearing the lace piece for the five or so months it will take to get my Freedom Piece, but I know once that initial wait is over, it will be so much better to have the vacuum wig.

Janine
It will be well worth the wait and i can promise you it isn't as scary as you think. I found my regular wig was actually more comfortable. Good luck on Saturday and who knows you may get it quicker.

Chris

Hello
A helmet is a must-have accessory when riding a motorcycle. A helmet is not a must-have accessory when riding a bicycle. But people who do not want to kill their health (their head) wear a helmet when riding a bicycle. You are a person who does not want to ruin your health (your head) - it is smartly and correctly! I ride a bicycle without a helmet. But my child rides the best bike for kids (which we bought due to the site's https://bikesist.com/best-balance-bikes-for-kids/ recommendation) rides a bike with a helmet. At least this bike is for child, but the child wears a helmet to be safe. I believe that it is good when a person who rides a bicycle puts on a helmet. You are cool!
