Hello!I was wondering if anyone has been tested for food allergies to determine if a particular food is causing inflammation, which in turn could exacerbate FFA. I had the skin test a couple of years ago at an allergy clinic, and it came back…Continue

Trying a new approach with CBD oil...

Started by Robin. Last reply by anettemandell Apr 20, 2023. 31 Replies

Hello All, I am venturing into new territory. It just dawned on me that a good experiment would be to try a medical grade CBD oil tincture on my hairline and see if it affects the redness. CBD is the nonpsychoactive part of marijuana that is being…Continue

I have a very tender scalp and could not use clobetasol, so was advised to start w/ the 2% solution. So far, so good. I've been tilting my head back, working the dropper down to the scalp, then rubbing it around w/ my fingers. It takes less than a minute to apply. Right now, I'm using it 2x/day, as per pkg directions, but hope to advance to the 5% solution and use it less frequently. Does the 5% say to use it just once a day?

Well it appears no matter whether one uses the foam or liquid, it should be applied by sectioning off your hair. Does everyone who uses rogaine, use it on a daily basis as suggested or every other day?

Thanks Jules, I have a box of foam I bought a while ago and now my fringe has almost disappeared I'm going to give it a try! x

I've been using the Regaine 5% foam for about 8 months. I part the hair in stages along the front hairline and rub it in to about a couple of inches back. If that makes sense. It takes about 5 mins. I don't know whether it's helping to thicken up the hair. It's the usual conundrum with FFA. Would I be losing hair even quicker without Regaine? I'll never know but now it's started, I dare not stop!

Alice, i just stared the Rogaine few weeks ago so no results yet. By the way, I was told to use the men's 5%. I am going to try the liquid again. I thought of going to a hair supply store to see of the have the cotten strips that hairdressers used years and years ago around the face when I got permanents. Or maybe I just need to slow down and do little areas at a time..

Thank you for your comments about Rogaine foam. I just started using the liquid and will stick with that form. I think foam might be easier for men with really short hair but the dropper method might work best for women. Are you actually growing hair with the Rogaine

Yes MJ, I just started using Rogaine foam as derm said it would be easier to apply.  Far from it I found as it just goes all over on top of the hair itself and difficult to get it down into the scalp. I would imagine one has to divide up your hair and apply in sections. What a job that would be on a daily basis. Derm said just put on & rub all over scalp but you'd have to put quite a lot to actually get it down  through the hair into the scalp.

Hi, for those using rogaine foam, do you notice any white flaking? I recently switched to the foam from the liquid. I did not notice flaking with the liquid. Could I just be putting too much on? Although I did not like trying to control the dripping with the liquid, I felt like it was easier to get on my scalp without my hair getting all in the way as it does with the foam. Any suggestions or comments, please? Thanks. MJ
