hey Im Lee! I had AU since Oct '07, don't like it but I am dealing! I tried everything...nothing is working...so I gave up and I'm doing things that make me happy ; ) I love talking to people about this because it makes me feel like I'm not alone. I live in NYC and I LOVE music..its my life! I'm in a band (website: http://www.myspace.com/betterthanstatic) where I sing and play guitar. I guess thats me in a nutshell ; )

Update...moved to Arlingon, VA...not in a band anymore ; ( and I have asthma now...so, trying to deal with that the best I can. Would take alopecia over asthma ANY DAY!

    Yes, they are located in Manhattan and are called New Hair Technology (www.nuhair.com). Every piece I have ordered (5 now) has been a different color, but I have finally decided that the best way to go is to get it a little darker and highlight it. I have never noticed my hair getting damaged. As long as you don't keep putting color in it (obviously there isn't any need since it doesn't grow), then from my experience it should be fine. If you ever do this, just make sure that the colorist is someone experienced working with wigs. From what I have been told, working with someone's real hair and working with a wig are two different things...

    You sure are a pretty lady.
    You look beautiful in a wig. You must be just incredibly beautiful bald. Especially with that pretty face of yours.

    To me, bald women are more beautiful. I have always prefered women who wear their hair short, or with a shaved head. To me they look more feminine, like you can see their femininity better when they are bald, It is just a very sexy look on a fine looking lady.
    Of course a woman has to be nice and have a brain in her pretty bald head.
    I am married to a delightful bald woman myself.
