    hey!!!
The chat room was down because there were some jackasses were on there being rude obnoxious and insulting everyone, making racist homophobic comments. We reported it to RJ and Cheryl and they shut it down trying to find out what was going on.

    Hey Dotty,

Just had my first Passover dinner tonight -- the married couple that lives upstairs is Jewish and this is Passover week -- so I got to do something new -- it was great!!! I'm writing my story for Julia's book and will probably put it up as a series of blogs as well. I'm looking into perhaps going to see a counselor because one side effect of being on such a wonderful site as this is that I alternate a lot of days between being just enraged at alopecia and society in general and being depressed for some insane reason. I think I've been depressed about it for quite a while, but I've done a great job of functioning nonetheless. I'll look for you online this weekend, maybe we can talk more???

I love what you did with that beautiful bald head of yours Dotty.
Very beautiful, exotic, sensual look on you. You are artistic, and lovely.

My lady is also bald and beautiful with au.
She doesn't have any head tattoos, but she has upper arm tattoos, breast tattoos on her lovely breasts, and ankle tattoos.
She claims that she isn't getting anymore tattoos, but I love the tattoos she has.
And I love her beauitful features and her
    beautiful bald head.

To me some of the most gorgeous women are beautiful bald women. To me it actually enhances a lady's femininity because you can see her features better. I just have always loved beautiful bald women.

Dotty, thanks for adding me. I love who you are. Strong, happy, complete and so full of life and optimism. You are an amazing woman. Though I am unaffected and it is my child that has the dx of AA, it has affected me emotionally for him. Any suggestions? Michelle

I'm wondering about the half bald smiley face you have on the top of your head. Did you design that? I really like it.
  • Donna Evans

Yes, it is very cute. I have one tat. and have been thinking about getting a new one. Something small and simple on the inside of my wrist. That would be really cute and I'll keep it in mind. I'll check out the MSN support group. Thanks! You look so happy & I love your pictures.
  • Karen

    Hi Dotty,

I have just heard about the accident and now am putting Kimi in my prayers. I have no doubt that she has her mother's spirit and will get through this with flying colors.

Please keep me updated since we are all family here and all are anxiously waiting for any news.

    Hugs and Kisses.

Hey there my friend thanks for the poem it is lovely. This place is awesome I am so pleased I found it and Nicole thought it was cool also she wants to have her own page seeing as beebo thought she was too young. Hey I am so pleased to hear that Kristen is on the mend how awful for you all. You have been in my thoughts constantly.

    Take care Luv Sharon
  • sgomez

It's so nice to hear that Kristin is back home! I will continue to keep you all in my prayers. Recovery can be tough too. I hope all else is well. Please don't forget to take care of yourself. I know that you have so much on your plate besides helping Kristin get well. Ask for help when you need it, and make sure you're eating and sleeping enough. You probably don't live in Arizona, but if you did I would be there in a heartbeat. Take care and God bless, Sarah
  • Supermom

    Dottie,
So glad your daughter is well. When things like that happen, all our other fears and worries seem so small. I hope you get more rest now (although you are probably always busy looking after your family).

    All the best to you,
  • Tony

Hi Dotty, thanks for the add. Glad to read that Kristin is home and on the mend. Both my daughters were in a terrible accident last year so I can relate. Strength in faith and family get us through these times. Seems like you have a lot of both. Best wishes to Kristin for a speedy recovery and to your family...
  • KnittyCat

    Hi Dotty,
Hope everything is getting back to semi-normal. I realize it may never be totally normal again. I was reading the article about you in your pix and I can so relate. Now granted I don't have children, so that part I can't relate, but the indecisiveness about wearing or not wearing hair - totally there. The thing I've learned most from all of this is who likes me for me and not my looks. Anyway, just thinking about you guys. Tell Kristin to continue to heal and that we're all thinking about you guys. Marie
  • Diane

    Hi Dotty,
Thanks for your comments on my blog and friend request. From reading yours, I can see you and your family have been trought hard time. I'm glad to see that your daugther is back home and that things will get better.
You and your family are in my prayers.

Hi, Dotty. Thanks for updating me on Kristin's condition and whereabouts. I'm "happy-glad" that she's doing better and that, as a result, you're also feeling better. I certainly hope that she will continue making a full recovery and that it takes as little time as possible. Regarding the NAAF conference, Cheryl and I thoroughly enjoyed it and missed seeing you there. :-)
  • sgomez

Hi Dotty! I was thinking of you, and I thought I'd stop by to say hi. I hope that Kristin is recovering well. She continues to be in my prayers.
I also wanted to say that I really love you hats!! I saw your post on heralopecia. My favorite was the pink scarf that you gave Joann. If you sell those on your website, I want to order one. I just know I will have trouble deciding which one! I want them all! :-)
Thank you so much for spreading the love, and inspiration! Make sure to take care of yourself too. God Bless, Sarah

Hi Dotty, I just noticed your pic on someone else's page, and seen your tat, wow, I have my head tattted too. You must be a super person with all those kids, some yours and some borrowed. I know it takes a special type person in todays hectic lifestyles to do that, and it must be ever so rewarding at the end of day, knowing you are making such a difference, not only with those kids, but with others with alopecia too. I have one child, 17, and she is an extraordinary young lady, with twisted views and tastes, her friends think i'm cool with my slick head, and she is proud to call me her mom.
I just took time to read down your comments, and can see your older daughter must have been sick earlier this month, and send my prayers that she be well.
    Blessings,
    Willow

    Hi Dotty,
So sorry to hear about Kristin. I hope she recovers well. We missed you at the convention! I wanted to show you my new dragon head tattoo. I'll get my hubby to take a picture and add it to my pics on my Alopecia world site. Do you like my ads?? LOVE YA and see you in Houston!!
  • Michelle

Yup, I've been so busy lately I have had time to get on here much! HOpe all is well, and I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday!!
  • Maryanne Peckham

Hey Dotty, Thanks for reaching out to me. I grow up in Hyde Park , Ma and your daughter lives really close to me. I look forward to getting know you.
  • willow

Dotty, the tattoo is the only way I would get out of the wig. A spiritual teacher had been telling me to do it for almost 3 yrs before I finally did. Like many others, my emotional life surrounding my hair/wig/bald, has been a rollercoaster, and at times, even horrific. I would consider doing a few more. There are still days I feel insecure, and I don't know if that will ever change. I am an empath, and I can feel people, and know when I am in the public eye with certain people they are uncomfortable, My family did not support me with the decision to put the tattoo, and ditch the wig. They thought I had lost my mind. Needless to say, our relationship is nil. I have that question asked often too, "did it hurt", and my answer is exactly the same. I have a life of emotional pain, the tat just doesn't compare too.
I am very grateful to have my husband. He tells me daily I am beautiful, and I have a child, and handful of friends who love me, support me, and they are my family.
I send healing blessings to your daughter Kristin, and brightest of blessings to you, I also believe we are kindred spirits, and can become good friends.

My parents and I haven't spoken since Feb. I feel aweful cause it's not suppose to be that way, and ya, your right, life shouldn't be that way. I take it hard tho,,,its extra stress I don't need. Your idea of what tat will come...give it some time,,and the perfect pic will come. And yes, I am very grateful for meeting all of you. I don't feel so alone anymore. You all are kinda like a new family. blessings
