- Mother of a 7 year old with Alopecia Universalis. His hair starting falling out in febuary 2012 and was completely hairless in May 2012.
He seems to have accepted it and takes it well most days. but i Worry.
I take it well in public.... but it breaks my heart and Do not deal with it well behind closed doors

I was going to post in a group this question but i don't know what group to post in!
But i want to donate my hair in Canada and I was wondering if there is any organization that i should be looking into? I got about 10-12 inches to spare... I would love to Help as i am a parent fo AN AU Child.

My son has only been recently diagnosed with AU. It was quick too. in a few months he was completely hairless.
I know he is healthy and i thank god he is, but it breaks my heart knowing he is different, and he knows he's different. And after being upset about that i feel guilty that i should embrace his bald headed cuteness!
