Thank you all for such support so quickly. We went to the doctor today and our fears have been confirmed. Rachel has aa. I am an emotional mess! I am so thankful that she is a healthy and happy four and half year old who will live a long and productive life and who is more worried about her day's activities. My sadness comes only when I think about the teasing she will endure as she goes through her school years. And my heart breaks. Tracy and Amanda thank you so much for checking on us today. It makes me feel so good to know I have a friend.
Hi Karla,
How are you and your daughter? I also have a daughter with alopecia. I hope to be talking to you soon. This is a great site for support.

Hi Karla, I wanted to welcome you to Alopecia World. I can honestly say that we are a great community here and I hope you enjoy the time you spend with us.
Hello and welcome, Karla!
You can get a free video for kids to play at school from the National Alopecia Areata Foundation (www.naaf.org). On the home page at the bottom right you'll find a button that will take you to more information. When kids understand the condition, they're usually great about it; the "School Pack" and children's video are great educational tools.
