I have had alopecia universalis for 26 years, which means (at age 50), I have now been bald longer than I had hair - kind of a sad, depressing and defeating realization.
Are you age 18 or older?
Yes

I understand where you are coming from Lindsey. Although, my alopecia (which I have had off + on since age 4 completely on since age 13) does not rule my every day, there are days when I am just ticked off at the disease.
Hi Lindsey,
The ones in the photos on my site are all human hair wigs. I do have some great synthetic ones I got from wigsalon.com -- for example, "Brandi" (or "Brandy" )and "Samantha," Rene of Paris monofilament top, in Butterscotch Blonde. These are great! Also Noriko, "Reese" is very cute, in Vanilla Lush. For human hair wigs, I go to Brenda Kay Hair Specialties because she not only knows how to order good ones, but has the capability of styling them so they look REAL!!!! She works with people all over. You can contact her at 503-223-8092, or email at: bkhspecialties@qwestoffice.net. I had bad wigs until I found her!
hEY!!! I noticed you do not live to far from Nashville and I just wanted to stop by and tell you I am hosting a Links for Locks tournament here in the Nashville Area Friday Sept 19th and would love if you could make it!!! There are some people coming up from GA and down from KY !!! Would be awesome if you could come. It starts at 1:30 in the afternoon. Let me know if you would like some info. I am in need of golfers and maybe a few more sponsors ... if you have any connections or know of anyone who would like to play please let me know :) thanks
Wow, I never thought of it that way, but I have also been bald longer than I have had hair. Hmmm.
Oh well, no shaving my legs...
I just wanted to say hello and see how you are doing today.

Hi Lindsey, I've had AA for over 40 years, I wish I'd had AU so that I could be where I am today a long time ago. I shaved my head not long ago and I love my new found freedom. Don't be sad, I'm sure, like most Alopecian women, you are beautiful! Beauty can not, will not, be denied!
Hi Lindsey, I wanted to welcome you to Alopecia World. I can honestly say that we are a great community here and I hope you enjoy the time you spend with us. Cheryl, co-founder
