Hi,
I am 40 years old, have had alopecia since I was 9. I have had my eye brows semi permanent tattoed & have them re touched every 3 years & wear a fabulous monofilament wig & I love it. Wearing wigs is so much easier than styling your own hair every day so I look it with a positive attitude. I wear eyeliner cos I lost all my eyelashes too. Its vey hard when you are going through it all but I decided to start wearing a wig about 15 years ago as I was fed up with all the stress of looking for bald patches & trying to cover them up all the time. Anyone in Befordshire or Herfordshire with Alopecia & I would love to hear from you or if there is anyone looking for advice, a shoulder to cry on or just needs a big hug I am here.
Lots of Love Liz XX

Believe it or not I have the best eyelashes I have ever had. It is so strange. I have around 80% loss of my brows now. My alopecia has been slow, it took 2 years after diagnosis to go into a full wig and I am still left with some hair but really not enough to ever dream of going wigless lol. I started losing my brows 2 years ago, very gradually but I have to say it really adds time to my morning routine with using stencils. Thank you for the reply! I hope that you have a great weekend!! :o)

Hi Liz,
I love England! I wanted to move there, but never did.
You have a great attitude -- I'm thinking you might like to read my new book, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" -- it's for women and children with AA. It has a lot of helpful info, and it's fun to read! To find out more or order, go to my page -- there's a link to my author web site. Or cut and paste: www.leslieannbutler.npauthors.com

You sound like you have a great attitude! I am with you, I love my wigs and they do make life with alopecia so much easier. I have not taken the step to have my eyebrows tattoed yet but think about it often. Hope to chat with you.
Have a great weekend!!
