Hi Marian,
I know! It is so hard. Your kids are great and so supportive!
I wrote a book that might help -- if you go to my page you can find out more about it.
Let me know if you need to talk.

Hello LeslieAnn,
Thankyou for your comment and I appreciate your concern! I am handeling my aa well but sometimes it handels me and sends me to a sad place. I now have my first wig and my kids say I am beautiful. My son told me he would love me with out hair and I would always be his princess. He is six. My daughter finds it fabulous! Me? I have realized that the Marian I knew is no more and I now have to embrace the new one. I don't want to!

Hi Marian,
How are you? I have had aa for 30 years and au for 20. Are you doing all right with your alopecia? There is a lot of good support here.

Thank you!!! I am still spinning with emotions and trying to find peace and exceptance about my alopecia. I was jumped in when I was 16. Just a small spot easy to disquize. Blamed it on my first heart break. It went away for a long time. came back when I was 32. still very easy to handel and always grew back. now I am 39, and My hair is now falling out faster then it can grow back and for the first time a challenge to do my hair every day. I am a hair dresser and hair has always been my all. So it is a bit ironic that my hair is falling out. I didn't think that my formula for my happiness wayed so heavily on my hair, Marian+image=hair. I get angry and disappointed with myself, I just new I wasn't shallow or this vain, but to my horror I am. I did find some peace with this website and realized that I will be ok when my hair decides to leave me. I wish it would do one or the other this limbo land is just awful.
thankyou!!
