- I've had alopecia universalis since 2007 and I've finally come to accept this is me now and I won't let alopecia hold me back from true happiness. I mean I do have those days when I say to myself "why me, why me", but those days come and go. I have a very supportive family and the support of my friends who help me through the tough times. I'm also very grateful for this website. I've met some wonderful people here who truly inspire me.

It's been a while since i posted my last blog regarding my regrowth. I've waited patiently and was excited about every little progress made. My eyelashed grew back- YAY! My eyebrows are back-Yes! My head of hair-Ugh! It was up to about 70% regrowth and now I'm sorry to say it's all starting to fall out again. I knew in my mind this probably was not going to be long term, but somehow I was hoping it would be. Although I am a dissapointed I understand this is what to expect with this condition.… Continue

I'm pleased to say I've had some regrowth in last few months. My eyelashes grew back in my right eye and I have some eyelashes in the left eye. My eyebrows are starting to come in too! The white hairs are gaining pigment. I have several black patches on my head. It doesn't seem like much, but I'll take it. My family and friends are telling me its a good sign, but I don't want to get my hopes high and then nothing happens or it falls out again. It would be nice to talk to someone thats had… Continue

I'm sorry that you are losing again! I know how you feel, this is happening to me again too now. I had a question for you, where did you get your hairpieces or is that your hair? They look really good! I really like the style and color. I too am a Latina so I need to find something similar to match what I'm used to wearing. I hope and pray that you are doing ok.
