Hi Pam - good to hear from you! I've just booked an appt with Rob for Saturday 13 June at 5pm. if you were around before then, perhaps we could meet up for a coffee and chat. My "whiskers" are a bit threadbare now so time for new ones. I saw Dr Kaur last week and I've lost a further 2cm from the left side in 6 months (so that makes 7cm to date) but the front is still the same fortunately. I came off Plaquenil in December and, along with the stress of moving house, I suspect that explains the loss. I went back on Plaquenil pretty sharpish! How's your hair now?
We're slowly getting used to the new house. It has lots of problems that we hadn't foreseen so we're working our way through them slowly and expensively. The area couldn't be better though. There's a good social life in the village and Stratford is 15 minutes away.
I can't find your message with your mobile number. I'm going out soon but my appt with Rob is 1.30-2.30. My mobile is 07954 426937. It you have time, maybe we could meet up afterwards for a coffee and I can show off my new hairdo.
I'm waiting to hear whether Rob can fit me in on Friday or not. I'm off to Cornwall on Saturday so would really like to be able to hold my head up high in the St Ives breeze! It would be lovely to meet up for a coffee. I'll let you know as soon as I hear. Are you still pleased with your new hair?
Swimming for me is the hardest part. So, mostly I just jump in to cool off, and then I get out quickly and put on a hat - beach hats are really trendy. I live for hats. When I play tennis, I always wear a baseball hat or visor. I can't wear my hair in a ponytail anymore with out one as I have lost hair around my ears and I think it looks weird. On my down days, I try to focus on the fact that everyone's hairline is different anyway. I notice people's hairlines all the time as I am always comparing them to mine. I see that everyone has issues they have to deal with their hair - whether it be kinky hair, naturally thin hair, straw-like hair, etc. This disease is very humiliating in some ways, but I don't want to hide. I want to do things and enjoy life. That is my goal always!

Hello and welcome!
How are you today?

Pam - where do you live in the UK ? Would you like to come for a lunch with some of the other ladies ? I am near Junction 3 of the M40.
