Hi Diana,
Yep, my disguise is the same as yours!! I also wear fake eyelashes most of the time. There is no way I would go out in public with a naked head!!! I won't even go out without my make up on as I look like a mole tha's just come out of its hole!!
I'm usually at work at this time but I fell over on the ice last week and broke my arm and the doc has signed me off for 2 weeks. I've also got a cough and a cold now - probably caught it from all the ill people at the hospital!!
Anyway, it's lovely to hear from a fellow alopecian ( sounds like we're from another planet, doesn't it?). Bye for now,
Hi, Tracy
Lovely to hear from you - you look as though you wear the same disgiuse as me (fringed wig & glasses etc) You look great!! and not too far away (I'm in Hastings)
I don't really think us 'more mature' ladies have the option to go bald in public as I personally look very strange with no hair/eyebrows/eyelashes etc. but there are some lovely pictures of attractive people going 'au naturel hairwise' on this site.
Keep in touch
Diana
Hi Tracy, I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you to Alopecia World. I have been living with Alopecia Areata since 1991 and know full well the struggle it can be. I look forward to getting to know you. Cheryl, Co-founder

I live in sunny Shropshire. I think over the years I have got used to it and accepted it, but it takes time!

I've had alopecia about as long as you have!
I just wanted to say hello. How are you today?

Welcome to the forum.
I have had AU for over 40 years now. It takes several years to get used to it!
Take care
